Hey everyone, I can't believe how overwhelming the number of sexual AI-generated videos featuring K-pop idols has become. It's concerning and really needs to be addressed! Looking at the statistics for groups like Stray Kids made me realize just how delusional some K-pop fans can be. It's time for everyone to take a step back, regain perspective, and focus on healthier interests. Let's get our lives back on track!...PLEASE

Completely agree. Not only that, I forget where, but I think I heard some Stays saying Stray Kids has spoken out against AI (which makes a lot of sense for them and I completely respect their opinion on the matter). If you really liked and respected Stray Kids then you'd listen to them and not use AI to generate content related to them.

Also, I completely agree that idols shouldn't be sexualized. It's one thing to like certain duos or trios within a group for example, or idol friendships, or to find certain members cute, but the rampant sexualization needs to stop. Touch grass for crying out loud. How would they like it if a random stranger that claims to like them generated sexual pictures of them? I'm guessing they wouldn't. Well how do you think the idols feel? Unless an idol outright comes out and says they don't mind in the slightest, just don't sexualize them, period. I feel like that's not that hard to do, I hope.

I read an article that stated 90% of all deepfakes are from Kpop idols. That is an insane high amount. This will never change unless some sane person creates a law that forbids and fine's any website/company who still makes it available. I don't get why it is allowed to begin with, sure you have friendly ai generators of dancing cats or something kids friendly. But I dare to bet at this point there is more that allows the generation of more sexual stuff.

Sexualizing idols will also never stop, you have places like Reddit and Twitter which are protected by this stupid law (we cannot be held accountable for what people say online) like place a filter? It isn't even hard. Half the time they do allow things that are suppose to be against the rules. Online = okay to sexually harass someone, but irl you get fined lol...

Less anon apps would solve a lot too. The fact they do this in secret means they fear being exposed and getting sued.

I don't know what South Korean law says about deepfakes, but in the US there's the Take It Down Act.

In 2025, Congress passed the TAKE IT DOWN Act, America’s first federal law directly regulating deepfake abuse. The law targets nonconsensual intimate content, including synthetic images or videos that depict real individuals in sexual acts without their consent.

Platforms must remove the content upon notification, or face penalties. Victims do not need to prove reputational damage or financial loss; the mere unauthorized creation or distribution is enough. This includes content created entirely by AI if it falsely depicts a real person.

At least in the US and if the AI companies can be sued in the US. If the AI providers are in countries like Russia or China, not much can be done. The most important rule for us noncelebrities to avoid deepfakes: don't share photos of your face anywhere!
