Like...How can y'all talk about how terrible it is that SK focuses so much on looks and puts pressure on their female idols when it comes to appearances, but then make threads discussing who's prettier than who and who's the best looking idol and even going so far as to RANK them? And quit using the word 'visual'- just say the person is hot. I honestly have a lot to say when it comes to intl K-Pop fans and their hypocrisy, but this one has been bugging me for the longest. Don't open your mouths and get mad at actual Koreans for their lookism when y'all do the same thing.

And you best believe that I've been keeping track of who makes visual threads so tread carefully ​

Tbh I don't find a problem ranking idol's looks, as long as you don't bash anyone's appearance. Bashing appearances are just shallow. Also, calling people visuals just means that they're good looking, or "visual" worthy. You don't have to find everyone attractive, but you certainly can't demean them.

I get the importance of visuals in the industry but I don't think they should be the thing that makes idols popular. Especially, since for most idols it feels like that's not what they want to be known for either

I meant insulting other idols in order to hype up your faves looks. You just saying that Yoona is pretty is not what I'm talking about.

I do have my preferences, but I never put other people down cause of looks. Also, I'm always aware that taste is subjective.

I agree with this. It's totally okay to have preferences because we all do but it becomes disrespectful when people start comparing idols and ranking them. We shouldn't be judging idols based on their looks, rather we should focus on their personalities and skills

i don't personally think there is problem ranking or hypocrisy as long as it's based on opinions and u aren't saying anyone is ugly. with knetz the problem for me is that there is insults and saying someone shouldn't be idol cause their looks, there is fat shaming and things like that, and it's usually said as it's fact that someone is ugly

I dont mind visual battles & rankings because I find it interesting to see what others think. But if we get to a point where we insult them then it's no longer cool.
