Its been very comfortable and long lasting. bought it near the start of Work from home . Spend all day in the chair most days its either bed or the chair.

This. I bought mine during 2020 after my office chair became unbearable to sit in. Good office chairs that can stand up to being sat in for 8+ hours are extremely spendy. I thought to myself "professional gamers spend way longer than 8+ hours in a chair all day, every day, what do they sit in?" and found Secret Lab that way. It's comfortable and aesthetically nicer than an office chair, imo.

So a basic Secret Lab, without any cosmetic upgrades like Athena has here with the Valorant branding, and without any coupons or sales (which they have frequently, like right now, you can get a $100 off coupon) is $500.

Which sounds like a lot, but when I was researching office chairs, that kind of price range is generally considered garbage for what I needed, which is something I can literally sit in all day, every day, for months and ideally years. Like this Steelcase Gesture is considered to be actually good for that, and it starts at $2,075. And also, not cute like the Secret Lab? Like it's fine, but it looks like corporate office furniture, so it's not comfy, visually, for being in my home.

I've had my Secret Lab for 6 years now, and there is literally no visual wear and tear, no issues with any of the parts, etc. It still looks and feels brand new.

Yeah, I think I actually paid around $350 for mine, but it's crazy how much money it takes to get "actually comfortable and won't crap out in 6 months." It was so maddening when I was researching, and finding all these chairs that are $1K+ but are still in the "you can't actually expect it to last, though" level of quality. Like... for that much money, I think it should???

i have had to replace the arm rests. Mostly because i have an L shaped exec desk, and i keep banging em into it.
i think mine was 3-400 when i bought it.
