News Gossip girl wil get a HBO Max reboot (1 Viewer)

The service has given the show an order of 10 one-hour episodes from the original “Gossip Girl” team, including executive producers Joshua Safran, Stephanie Savage and Josh Schwartz, according to details released by HBO Max.

However, there is some sad news here – as you probably won’t get to find out what Lonely Boy, Little J and Serena and Blair are up to with their lives now as it the story will centre on a new generation of NY’s elite.

It’s apparently going to “address just how much social media — and the landscape of New York itself — has changed in the intervening years,” the service.

A lot of the relationships in that show were INCREDIBLY toxic looking back on it now as an adult... Still love the show though!

My wish list for the new series:

1. We NEED a Queen Bee as bitchy and iconic as Blair Waldorf! PERIODT.
2. I hope there is a more diverse cast this time around although I hope the show doesn't turn "woke" because that would be terrible LOL
3. Kristen Bell HAS to reprise her role as the voice of Gossip Girl otherwise, what is the point!
4. I want a gay character as part of the main cast! If this is gonna be on HBO, I want steamy gay content!
5. I hope they don't fall down the rabbit hole of social commentary TOO MUCH, I know social media has become a lot more all encompassing since the original show aired but the only thing that would've really changed about Gossip Girl is that they would be on Twitter and Instagram rather than on their own site...
