No. I sprayed my entire room with disinfectant and then slept in the bedroom next to mine, as my brother moved out.
I didn't scream either, because I was kind of too scared to scream.
Never forget when I screamed because my bird flew at me at 1AM

My ex-best friend gave it to me (she moved now) so that they can move. She also gave me a turtle, but we put him in a lake (coincidentally, the lakes all froze that winter). It's not that I don't like animals, it's just that traumatic incidents from the past prevent me from actually touching them. My bird can get as close as it wants, but any other animal will probably send me into a panic attack.
