Despite their small brains and lack of neurons, honey bees can learn to recognize human faces. Unlike humans though, this is likely not something special about human faces, like it is in people. The common belief is that humans have a specific part of the brain that is specifically for face recognition, and because of it we are more capable of recognizing people than other objects. However, about 2% of the population of the US have a disorder called prosopagnosia, which causes the section of the brain to not function properly and for those people to be unable to recognize others in that way.
