I actually have broken bone once when i was 14, but it was actually really uncommon bone to broke- my arm bone between shoulder and elbow. It's quite big bone too, and i broke it when i fall on my back and tried to break the fall with my hand so my arm got twisted between my back and ground. The doctors didn't even believe it first and I actually had to visit doctor again after i still couldn't raise my hand after week and half recovery.

I was able to use my hand in that arm, but holding on things like pen was painful. Since it was right arm I was quite happy it was during summer, would been hard during school. Since it's hard place to broke your bone too they couldn't but cast on it so I had arm sling all the summer, and i wasn't allowed to run or exercise at all cause the bone would have moved.

Weirdly enough that is only bone i have broken, like if i was going to broke just one bone i'd have expected sth smaller or more common ^^; Though thankfully it healed without issues too.

I did a rare double break in my ankle. We ASSUME it happened while I was driving hundreds of miles at a time. Key word ASSUME, we really don't know... It-didn't-hurt. Found out when I sprained it and it was already healed

Other then that dislocation is more my thing.

No fractures yet, thankfully :sanapray:

My fingernail did get caught when I was smashing the car door shut though, hurt like a bitch, I couldn't even touch my nail for like a week and then it turned all black and started to fall off while a new nail grew under it. Looked ugly af.

Stress fracture probably? :O

A lot, it’s in double figures :nekosweat:

(I’ve also had my knee dislocate three times)

Ruled out, it was a type of break that could be caused by a sort of twist or misplacement of weight. So one theory is is I was driving so long my nerves dulled I stepped wrong and my ankle just snapped.

Oh wow. I guess they were quite dulled if you didn't even feel pain and notice it. I'm not sure with all fractures, but when i broke my arm the pain was pretty intense and I actually couldn't keep still i was just walking in circle.

Most of them were from about 6 - 14yrs. I was fearless and very sporty then, but also accident prone. Some have been stupid though, like when I was 8 I broke my arm falling out of a tree (not long before my uncle’s wedding). A year later I tried jumping from a wheelie bin to a high wall, but failed. The bin rolled back, I fell off and the bin fell onto me, breaking a few ribs.

God bless the NHS, and the patience of my mother :sanapray:

PS: If you are wondering I did a clean break of tibia in the corner next to my fibula. Then I broke and displaced the front section of my talus. By the healing that was done they were 100% it was at the same time.

Haha you replied on me. You know sprains have always hurt for me more then dislocations and breaks. Actually this puts me at a higher chance of bone cancer appernetly.

That's quite how my friend was as well. I think I was always quite careful kid so rarely got myself hurt. Just my luck to broke my arm just from falling on my back ^^;

I guess you aren't as prone to accidents anymore? ^^

Surprising that you didn't have problem walking like that. Bone cancer? I thought bones just grow stronger back after breaks :hayshook:. But that's what i heard when I was 14 with my arm, so maybe people just told me to make me feel better ^^;

I think i have had one sprain so far on my ankle, but i don't think it hurt that much just freaked me out :dubuthink: Haven't had any dislocations, and i don't really want to get any either they sound scariest to me.

Fortunately I haven’t. I have fractured my ankle before though and the pain was almost unbearable for me so I can’t imagine how bad a broken bone would be.

Na if you break and dislocate anything with little pain then it's a sign something isn't normal to begin with. Sure you can break something and not feel it because of severed nerves. But I've done plenty dislocations with little no no pain. Including a bike crash that sent my hand dislocated to the back and the thumb section (think thumb all the way down) to the front.

And no bones do not grow back stronger. They grow back just as strong but a lot people develop arthritis at the sites of breaks later in life.

Six years was my last one, but all the sports centres near me have closed down so I guess that’s helped. The worst break was when I was 2. I fell down some steps from a large slide at a park and broke my collarbone. I don’t remember it happening but my mum and gran were there and completely freaked out.
