I love this girl. She always does such a good job at imitating different vocal techniques
Now I just picture Rosé doing this in between each songher method of preparing for rose's voice loool
I see a lot of people saying that Rosé's technique is unhealthy but I have yet to see anything explaining why it's unhealthyThis girl is amazing. She perfectly replicated how Rose would sing Taeyeon's songs. The vocal mimicking can't be perfect, obviously. But, I'd say she was at least 85% close.
Also, this just further shows how unhealthy Rose's technique is. When she sang Rose's songs the way Taeyeon would sing them, she even manage to have resonance, which shows how healthily Taeyeon sings.
Plenty of YT videos to explain. All it takes is a little effort and research :)I see a lot of people saying that Rosé's technique is unhealthy but I have yet to see anything explaining why it's unhealthy
The problem is that, while I've only seen like 3, they didn't really cite anything other than their own knowledge which I don't know the validity of.Plenty of YT videos to explain. All it takes is a little effort and research :)

In my humble, unknowledgable opinion, I believe that what may be unhealthy for the majority of people isn't as bad to someone who has practiced with it. Ignore my football reference but I equate this to Philip Rivers. His dad taught him how to start throwing a football at age 10 but he only used a regulation sized ball. Because of this, he developed a really awkward throwing mechanic that many physical therapists and athletic trainers have said would be dangerous for a classically trained QB. But Rivers has never sustained an injury using this technique because it's how he was developed.
Likewise with Rosé. Could her technique be dangerous to someone who was trained to sing "normally"? Sure. But maybe this way of singing isn't harmful to her since it's how she was trained.
Either way, she sounds good. If it does happen to be hurting her in any way, I hope it's nothing permanent![]()
He has 8 childrenGoogled this Philip Rivers and daddy![]()
I watched this video and he basically said that Rosé isn't gonna hurt herself using her nasally technique. Maybe if she tries to sing a more difficult song it'll hurt her voice because, in that one clip he showed, she was straining her throat; but her technique isn't dangerous to her lol.Googled this Philip Rivers and daddy
But anyway, if you want, you can watch this. This guy is a trained vocalist who runs his own academy and he explains it all well, not only talking about Rose but also, other Kpop acts and even Western acts.
The video is 24 mins long so if you're watching, I suggest grabbing a snack![]()
Also to counter, he says that singers like Bom and Rosé are stuck with their style/technique and can't sing differentlyGoogled this Philip Rivers and daddy

Yes, yes I mostly used this video to battle the antis who claimed Rose was harming herself with her vocals back in 2017, when I was a Blink. My point was, her choice of singing is unhealthy nowadays because she does push above the normal ranges of a BlackPink song for their concerts, when she does covers. Plus, YG makes them do concerts around the world, around the clock so I'm sure her vocals have taken quite a bit of damage.I watched this video and he basically said that Rosé isn't gonna hurt herself using her nasally technique. So that video just proved my point
Also, my issue with him is that he's making a lot of assumptions. Just because Park Bom has her style she sings in, he assumes she jumped straight to style and ignored proper breathing techniques. That's a strong assumption
We know Rose can sing differently. This pre debut feature proves it.Also to counter, he says that singers like Bom and Rosé are stuck with their style/technique and can't sing differently
skip to 1:03 to hear Rosé singing in her lower register without nasality.
I don't know Bom well enough to know if she's been declining, so it's sad if that's true.Yes, yes I mostly used this video to battle the antis who claimed Rose was harming herself with her vocals back in 2017, when I was a Blink. Well the decline in Park Bom's vocals over the years quite literally proves his point about her not learning the basics. She can barely sing You and I anymore without screaming.
I was mainly bringing that up to reinforce my argument as to why I don't 100% believe these videos. He's making an assumption that Rosé cant break from her style when she obviously can.We know Rose can sing differently. This pre debut feature proves it.
She was obviously trained to sing in the style she sings in now, which isn't a bad thing because I much prefer her vocals now than then.
It's not only Bom who's declined, sadly. SISTAR's Hyorin has greatly declined as well with all the straining she did back during SISTAR's songs. She went on radio to sing See Sea and she had a hard time singing the high notes, which would've been unimaginable 4-5 years ago.I don't know Bom well enough to know if she's been declining, so it's sad if that's true.
I'm still not convinced either way because I'm clueless with vocal technique but, if it does in fact hurt her vocal cords to sing their higher notes, then I'm glad they rely heavily on the MR
I think you'll see the full effects of the damage to Rose's vocals in the upcoming years. The damage cannot be seen instantly, it's gradual. Nothing but hard proof can convince you and I for sure understand that since most 2NE1 fans and SISTAR fans refuse to believe it, back in the day. Those same fans experience the vocal decline in their artists now, which you will also inevitably experience as well, if you choose to stan Kpop for another 3-5 years.I was mainly bringing that up to reinforce my argument as to why I don't 100% believe these videos. Also, the only thing he says is dangerous is her straining yet there was only one clip of it from a random Vlive. I'd have to see performances of her going higher and straining her throat to believe that she does it.

How can you not hear her avoiding the belted notes, the voice cracks, the flat notes, the strain, I'M CONFUSED BY YOUR HEARING![]()
She sounds good af
Because strains and cracks happen lmao. Every professional, godly singer has it happen. The fact that she keeps going without missing a beat is what makes her immensely talented. How can you not hear her avoiding the belted notes, the voice cracks, the flat notes, the strain, I'M CONFUSED BY YOUR HEARING![]()
