Produce 48 IZ*ONE Reportedly Made Through Vote Rigging​

According to South Korea news agency Insight, it’s not just Produce X 101 that is surrounded by vote rigging suspicions but now also the previous season, Produce 48 as well.

Below is a graph released by KBS regarding the calculation of votes.

And below is the calculation for X1’s votes.

Reports have stated that the chances of calculation results to have ended up this way was less than the chances of winning the lottery five times consecutively.

Mnet has not yet responded to the recent news.

So what does this mean exactly? Are there members not supposed to be there?

My guess is that the members who were in the top 12 all throughout the competition and then weren't in the final episode, were originally supposed to be in top 12.

Other than them being a temporary group, this was another reason why I don't Stan them as I thought something was odd when they announced the final rankings.

I’ve never felt the need to watch a Produce series, and this is one of the reasons why.

Why I try to avoid watching survival shows as a trainee you really like could be eliminated just because the show doesn't like the trainee.

I really hope this hits mnet hard, i think the group will be okay people will still support them, but mnet needs to at least gets heavily fined. They took voters money and then did what they wanted with group anyways.

I don't know about X1 but IZ*ONE's rigging was so blatantly obvious. Anyone who watched the show from the get go could tell the final lineup wasn't meant to be the final lineup. Acts like Yuri and Chaewon randomly making the final cut when they were barely within the top 15 throughout the show. Acts like Yena and Yujin suddenly shooting up in rankings when they were on a downward spiral throughout the show. Acts like Kaeun, Miho, Miyu and Miru not making the final cut was extremely weird considering how well they always ranked in the top 15 towards the latter part of the show.

They say the audience doesn't know what they want, which is why in the end Mnet combines 50% our picks with 50% of their picks. Acts like Wonyoung, Sakura, Nako, Hitomi, Eunbi, Chaeyeon and Hyewon were definitely Korea's pick. The other 5 were Mnet's pick for sure. Well, all in all, the rigging worked in my favor cause I loved the final lineup. Tbh Mnet's picks for the group were definitely understandable. Yena and Yujin work great for variety shows. Yuri and Chaewon are needed for the vocal boost to the group and Minju was needed for the visuals.

I know it's cheating and it's sad for the other trainees but I do feel like Mnet's insight is needed for these Produce groups. If they don't add professional thought to the members pick, the group's cohesiveness and balance would be all over the place. I mean it's sad to admit but, we sometimes really do not know what we want, as an audience lol.

I think more so with the audience the problem is they won't see the bigger picture and will just be like "ooo I like x they should make the final lineup" then when the final lineup is in front of them they'll be able to see the problems that could have been seen if they thought about their choices before. The problem would come though with these votes costing money and being under the illusion that they'll make the entire group which is getting into the area of scamming.

i think the fans did kill the older j and k trainees.

Yujin was being punished for not being humble, bu t she was always strong. And she was going to draw big live votes.


Guys voted during the live show and with the live show happening in prime time more guys were watching. The current line up really makes sense with guys picking it.

Honestly the final 12 looks pretty darn similar to the week 8 12.

Week 11 the votes after the concept are the true outliers not the final vote.

2 KIm aka Minju and Chaewon were trending up hard in both Korea and Japan.
Kaeun was not helped by any of the challenges.

Chowon just did not have the strength or enough company votes to go around. Especially after Hitomi and Chaewon were shown as on the bubble.

Yuri and Yena are ballpark the sum of the eliminated company girls.

Eunbi lost woollim votes to get Chaewon over that mid point ranking reveal.

Week 8 ranking Yunjin self destructed sadly.

The moment Minjoo and Chaewon were announced i knew we were getting a young pretty group.

Even if they did fix the vote this method that folks are bringing up would not be the way they did it.

Using any algorithm would be really really stupid and far to complicated.

let alone there was massive real time chatter about making sure to not get all the Japanese girls in their group.

7 out of 12 in the week 11 group was bad with tensions still real.

5 akb girls split the akb vote so Hitomi who had strength every ep and got the mid show reveal got the push.


if i had to guess just under 3.5 million of the 4.4 came in real time. That is best case 500k votes and it may have been less.

This does not mean that they could not have fixed the vote. I just do not think they did it(if they did) in anywhere near the fashion that folks are claiming.

I'll explain (someone may need it), why it seems rigged in original post. If those tables (or graphs) are not wrong,
then second column is count of votes. In the bottom of second column is sum of values in second column.
Third column is percentage, which you will get if you divide second column value by sum of second column values (4 452 177 in the bottom)
Fourth column is . . . it is for explanation.
All values in third column are extremely close to 7.60% , 7.10%, 6.62% (two decimal places only) etc.
If they were real, they would look like , for example 7.60342324% , 7.1046324786%, 6.6245445% - like this.
And you can see 00 or 99 in third column after second decimal place.
And here they like first somehow calculated some percentage values, as if in fourth column,
and these values are rounded to x.xx (two decimal places).
And then calculated second column value, using percentage and knowing sum 4 452 177.

Actually all this still doesn't tell, if members selection was rigged, but
the way they've calculated these numbers is like unusual.

Also, look at second table (translated) here. You can see the same vote counts, these numbers are actual votes, with names.
In this case, theory is, that every vote count value was calculated simply by multiplying 445.2178 by some number, for example 535.
