This doesn't really just apply to Kpop groups, but all groups from all types of countries but this example is in Kpop.
If you think about it, although it's not the case in every one, you would think that girls would be into GG's more because you have the 'Girl Crush' concepts, the 'Cute' concepts and are mainly girlie, whereas, in BG's, they tend to be more 'cool' with sharper dance moves and you would think that guys would be into them more, right?

So, to my original question, why do you think that there are more Fangirls who are into GG's than Fanboys into BG's?

It's easier for women to be fans of other women socially, there is no stigma about it? Unless it's sport or sth rly manly like that you often see boys being embrassed to admit they are fan of someone of same gender.

What Marko said lmao, I mean it's true, and the way the concepts are made and such are always revolving around the opposite gender. Rarely are there groups that actually aim at every gender. I for one am the opposite, I hate the way the gg cute concepts 'appeal' to men cause they don't appeal to me whatsoever but i love how bg cool concepts make the song seem just as cool as they are.

It's also easier for gg's to focus on guys since there are more heterosexuals that are thirsty than the other way around, same with bg's for girls.
Everyone is thirsty, and the industry knows that so they appeal to it but guy culture and being masculine and such means not being homo... and such. As you know skinship between girls is wayyyy more accepted than skinship between guys.

Girls being into girls has less stigma around it than guus being into guys. Also fangirls tend to be more intense to begin with, so they're more noticeable then fanboys are.

The marketing for kpop boy groups have always been centered around females. Their fanservice is mainly for females, that’s why some males may feel awkward stanning a bg. They don’t have a problem with Artists like drake, Khip hop rappers etc, because their music is more marketed towards males. And because they Have a “harder” image. Also many males don’t want to be called gay and so them stanning a boy group would definitely give people some room to criticize them. Females don’t have an issue with supporting other females because it’s not that big of a deal for us. Girls are always close to other girls, I’ve seen girls at my school cuddling but then claim that they aren’t in a relationship and that it’s platonic. It all comes down to The Stigmas of what people think certain genders should be like and what they should and shouldn’t do.

K pop wise most of the bg just do not interest me. And the soloist even less.

An really talented vocalist like say a Paul Kim i admire the talent but i am not searching up songs...

For me to care about a kpop bg they have to go far above the mark.

But my music collection aside from kpop is mostly even with guys dominating the bands/rock section.

More fangirls who are into GGs for me since the Kpop market and even Pop market is built around a female audience.

People like Ariana or Beyoncé seems to have more female fans than the other way around
