I have an idea to make music game single player or multiplayer (best would be mmo but for sure its harder). In my game you would try to survive in city having a job etc and after job you would train your musician/singer/guitarist/kpop (and so on) skills and try to become good and popular. I think what makes this idea great is that its not just musician game but its also some survival/life simulation

Anyway how to make such game? I had coding in school, It wasnt that hard. I also know english and math. The language i coded in was C++ i think i could make something simple in it but for sure not 3D MMO game... Do you guys have any advices or tutorials, also what language is best for 3D mmos? Am I realistic with coding MMO on my own if I am beginner at coding?

This is a great idea!!
I'm not too good at coding myself but I'd gladly play your game if it was created!

Ok so... as someone that will soon be in the field of making video games... making an MMO... alone... with minimal experience in coding and well no experience in game development, is impossible. MMO's have to be hosted on servers, these servers need to have the capability to withstand thousands of players and these servers cost a lot. Coding is not just elementary coding it's multiple different types of coding, you'd need to know different languages and how to use scripts. The best I can tell you is that you'd do good just making a mobile game in which you do what you said and make it single player with maybe some interaction with others like leaderboards or smn... You can find many tutorials about making mobile games and what you'd need. Keep in mind with what you have in mind... it will take a long time to build whichever way you make it.

People use frameworks and engines to make games (especially 3D games and MMOs), they dont code 3D graphics (or anything really thats really hard) from scratch. That would be reinventing the wheel and quite hard. Nowadays especially game engines are popular and dont require as much expertise as everyone thinks. The best game engines for beginners are Unity and Game Maker, I used both and they are really easy. GM is not really for 3D. Unity supports both 2D and 3D and can even make MMOs. I am not a pro, more like beginner, but I don't have bigger issues with coding singleplayer 3D games. You should look up this guide: Creating RPG In Unity? Simple Drag & Drop Inventory: Guide its really good for beginners, as he explains everything, he even explains too much id say, and it has many lessons from movement to combat. Also youtube is your friend and you should watch few videos like this one:

they are really good for beginners (watch them in 1.5 speed if you can so you can binge watch many of them and learn more). Good luck man, creating 3D single player game is really easy just need to know basic syntax and basic unity functions/variables. MMO are much harder though

If you think unity is too limiting then see this:

ofc you wont make anything like this anywhere soon but basic 3D games can be done by beginners

I wouldn't go for MMO if you are alone, it's very expensive. Start with single player, have patience and if it becomes a success expand to multiplayer and so on. This project can also be good for your CV if you decide to apply at a gaming company.

First start by choosing the platform. Mobile gaming is growing and it kinda looks suitable for example. For desktop idk, there might be Sims mods for this. Then you should look at other similar ideas, see what they covered and how can you do something different/better than them. Doing a product which is similar to something already existing will result in disappointment.

As for the coding part, you will need a lot of patience to make something great. Unity is def great for your purpose.
