For now SM has only planned 5 new sub-units and they're all foreign
Tho I suspect that some groups will contain Korean members?
Taeyong has been learning Japanese way too much and speaks it better than the rest. I mean: advanced

It might be. I only know that SM is gearing up for the Japanese unit alongside others.
So far only 3 new trainee's are spotted: the possible new dreamies.
TY does study English and Japanese and Chinese to communicate with fans but the amount of Japanese is astonishing and the fact that he and Yuta do the talking in Japan might be a hint
Until now I'm waiting on news for new possible trainees

one of the first. The Vietnam unit goes around longer so I think it might be Viet-unit.
Tho it would be logical to start with Japan cuz it's where a lot of groups from kpop have debuted

The only reason we only know of the future international units is because the slide we saw was the worldwide slide

as you see on it dream and U are not on it but 127 is

so if they bring another unit in what is another Korean based one it wont be the main unit for Korea so wouldn't be on said slide...

I dont think winwin will ever officially leave 127 just wont promote as much with them he will prob do a Mark and record in the album and mv's etc just wont be on stage with them [mark did this with dream]

I See Jeno or Jaemin Joining 127 not both mostly because the rap line is only mark and tae [lets be real] and if they plan to put tae in nct japan they will need more stronger rappers..

and there is other new dreamie possibilities..
any and all sm kid models can become idols its within there contract 4 are at the age to debut this year or early next :]

So with WinWin debuting in WayV and thus missing 127 activities,
many NCTzens are worried that he might leave 127...

THIS IS A THEORY AND NOT OUGHT TO BE SEEN AND TREATED AS A FACT!

What I think will happen is: WayV and 127 may promote/work around the same time.
Naturally, WinWin will have to go to China as WayV is kinda his priority...

Is it a bad thing? NO
WayV has less members so he has more chances on screen time, lines (tho many spillers have confirmed to me he isn't confident hence the lack of lines), etc than in 127.
WinWin is also more comfortable in WayV than 127 because he's not confident in his Korean. He can express himself more in his native language.

Did SM use him in 127 for his popularity? YES
In order to build hype in China, it's a smart move to put a Chinese member in.
127 is Seoul-based so they may have Jungwoo added to replace him.
127 would become all-Korean overtime.

What does the future hold?
With NCT Japan being one of the 3 new planned units (see Tea thread), I believe Yuta will be replaced overtime as well.
There are 4 NCT Dream members graduating at the end of this year.
Haechan's already in 127, Renjun will join WayV.
Only Jaemin and Jeno remain. Either they make a new group or one of them joins 127.​

We only know that they have planned the SEA countries (+ Japan). There are 6 and this only shows 4.
Tho those 4 are the names that got dropped, it will strongly depend on which set of trainees is debut-ready first
