Your feelings are the complete opposite of mine lol. I prefer this so much more over their debut music. I find this so catchy.
And I didn't even notice that part. I don't know how I missed it but I went to look for it after you mentioned it and same.

I like it more than Crown, gives me some kind of Glee/Camp Rock/HSM feels. The first part of the chorus that I believe Huening Kai sings feels very off tho, the vocals just don't sound too good for that specific part
