they had the best year for any kpop group and they broke records internationally and domestically, and they didn't win any daesangs? they had d4 which was basically a national hit, they had good physical sales and they had the most impact for a girl group. and they didn't win one daesang? hell they didn't even win girl group of the year which is just...
you dont even have to like blackpink to know that 2018 was THEIR YEAR... again, the fact that they didn't win ONE daesang just shows how biased korean award shows are to certain groups and certain companies...

and I mean some of the groups they lost to didn't even deserve those awards and only got them because they attended. like please.... Korean award shows are basically attendance awards.

If you're looking at MAMA or MMA then ofc they were robbed, you're talking about shows that gave Momoland absolutely nothing for Bboom Bboom even with no YG at MAMA and MMA has bonsangs which Momoland didn't even get.

The only end of year show with daesangs worth anything is GDA and they only have 1 for digital and 1 for album so iKon and BTS getting them was the only fair option.

i do think that love scenario deserved the sotys that it got 100 percent. but even then love scenario lost potential soty daesangs to other groups as well, and d4 was the second biggest hit behind love scenario. if love scenario was gonna lose to anyone then it should have been d4. I mean one of the groups who won song of the year last year was wanna one for their song beautiful at the mgmas, and im sure theyre talented hard-working people but what?? how the hell did they win soty over groups that had national hits like ikon and blackpink. square up was the second best selling album last year digitally and they were behind a full album (love yourself tear), square up only has four songs. and honestly, blackpink should have sweeped girl group of the year at every award show but they didn't even win it once which is disappointing.

You don’t need to insult them, but most international fans belittled them all the time when they were active as a group. It’s not their fault they won it, if there’s a problem, then the problem is Genie and that should have been taken up with Genie back then, and if the issue is attendance, then that’s YG’s problem. :/

It is pretty known that MAMA at least don't give awards based on who deserve them, but based on fandoms and what benefits them. Some of them end up looking lot more legit than others, it's like they don't even try sometimes. Now that we know that Mnet cheated even with Produce's fanvoting's and that one other show they got, I have no faith that they even calculate these awards at all, there might not be any legit numbers behind them no matter how they claim. I guess this year also we will just get another change to complain how rigged whole thing is- and fight among ourselves who should have won

Here, since you're confused, the amount of songs doesn't matter at all in case you think that less with higher points means they should win it more. If YG is a lazy company and prefers quality over quantity, it's YG's fault because looking at the criteria, it'd be difficult to judge 5 songs opposed to the more songs. And I don't know about MMA, but for GDA they don't nominate albums with less than 6 songs (that excludes intros, outros, instrumentals and different versions of the same song)

I'm sorry, I misunderstood, because most blinks were pissed off about W1 getting record of the year and said that BP deserved that daesang as well (I'm only telling you what I saw on Twitter/AKP), well hopefully if anything my post is a proof to anyone else who watches this thread and doubted them. eh ive always stayed quiet in terms of MAMA, theyve disrespected blackpink so many times and honestly blackpink were robbed of so many awards. mama is supposed to be the Korean grammies but tbh their whole award show is a joke and its biased against the companies who kiss their ass. its basically an attendance award show.
