Basically, from what I can gather, they're saying that because Kpop has a big market in China, allowing them permits to have concerts there would smooth over relations? Tbh I don't know but it just seems like these politicians are using BTS and other Kpop acts to push their own agenda

I mean i dont think its wrong to promote peace by having BTS perform them in china, there is an untapped market there with millions of people who could be fans, if they succeed there, the kpop market will be larger in the future.

Mostly the animosity between asian countries was due to the wars that happened in the past, countries get more nationalistic especially with china rising up as a superpower, the new generation want/feel the need to avenge their country's humiliation in the past.
