The comeback of girl group BLACKPINK is likely to be delayed until next year.

YG posted operating losses of 3.1 billion krw ($2.65 million) during 3Q and it is highly unlikely that they will turn a profit in 4Q.

The fact that YGE keeps relying on Big Bang's crumbs to survive is straight sad, esp. because they have a new gen pretty capable to take the role as new milking cows but it seems like no one in YGE is able to use common sense anymore.

I really think YGE as a company is done in terms of the Big 3. Honestly this is all their fault. In sum they put themselves in a place where they only really have BigBang and Black Pink.

However BigBang is a senior group that can only grow and expand so much. Thanks to BTS and SM/JYP stying afloat the stakes are higher, not to mention BB is now smeared in scandal. Black Pink is doing amazing. The problem is in the most important music fields in K-pop, S. Korea, Japan and the US their are groups doing better overall. It's very difficult for one group to save a company going down hill as much as YGE. On top of that YGE has the audacity to treat them like shit.

If YGE had launched DaraXCL in 2013-2014 as soloist and had actually managed IKON and WINNER who had huge potential, we wouldn't be having this conversation. Even if BigBang and BP were still their top acts, having popular soloist and two BG right behind EXO/BTS would have went a long way. BB being old and BP having stiff competition wouldn't matter as much.

From what I see there are only two things that can save YG long-term.
1) A new group that hits it big and I mean BIG. Like they are competing with EXO/BTS/Black Pink/TWICE and in a few years become the among the top groups of their generation.
2)Establish Black Pink as soloist like they did for BigBang.
3) I don't see either of these things happening...

Starting 2020 we can get BP and BB comeback, maybe another additional collab between BB & BP like GD & Jennie had back in time ..
