Why do "fans" hate Jinsoul (LOONA) so much? (1 Viewer)

"Is Jinsoul actually a good vocalist, or is she fronting to try and be on Chuu and Kim Lip;s level? — jinsoul is the maid that keeps sneaking on stage thats what she is"

Orbits (LOONA fans) are some of the nastiest people towards Jinsoul. I don't get it. She has done nothing problematic; she's had zero scandals. She's nice, smart (2nd in Math at school!!!) and funny. Literal producers and singers and casual fans love Jinsoul's voice. Everybody with working ears knows she's an incredible singer with a powerful voice.



When she belted on her own B-side, people misattributed the powerful high note to Kim Lip, even though Lip's voice is thin and cannot sustain such sonorous belting. It took the live performance for people to concede that it wasn't Kim Lip who sang it.

It's awful. Can people who stanned older-gen groups like Girls Generation help me? Were people awful about certain members too? I'm just a teenager and young and LOONA is probably the first GG I have truly stanned. Do people hate her because she's the complete package and is popular (She got nominated for the TC Candler Most Beautiful Faces thing AGAIN this year)? I've noticed people seriously hate on Irene (Red Velvet)'s vocals too. I don't find her that pretty myself, but it's clear others find her a top visual, and fans downplay her vocal abilities so much.

You've stumbled on a very small niche of Loona fans that probably dislike Jinsoul because they feel their biases might be over shadowed by her.

Not sure how long you have been a fan of Kpop or are aware of certain fans, so I'll explain a certain type to you, of which you are describing;

A lot of groups have a tiny handful of "fans" that only like one or a few members of a group. These are known as 'Akgae' fans. They can't stand the other members of a group and seriously dislike them, especially if they feel threatened by their talent. Akgaes believe their bias should be the most popular and most talented member of a group at all times. They will try to cause trouble within the group's fandom, which involves disrespecting the other members and make up things to try and get others to turn against a certain member/s.

Most Kpop fans ignore these Akgaes. Just leave them to it.

99% of people value all members of their fave groups. I recommend you only spend time with the larger communities of a fandom where you'll see how much everyone loves all members.

Thanks. I really hope I'll find LOONA fans who love all members -- it's okay if not equally, because we all have our faves (I sure do), but I don't like people being mean about others for no reason. A lot of anti-Jinsoul people are present in normal settings, though, like YouTube, not just stan Twitter. That's what I'm frustrated about. I just wanna stan in peace.

Welp, I'm not a fan myself but I can tell you that most people that do not like definitely recognize her talent, she has earned a fair share of respect for herself as artist and as person.

I guess it's fitting that Jinsoul has been compared to Taeyeon (vocally) a lot, LOL.

She is not Taeyeon level yet but she is indeed among the strongest vocalist in Loona. The producers already noticed this and Jinsoul is getting more vocal lines esp. hard ones, with more vocal work she would be a beast.

Okay, I'm coming back to get heated again
There was an "every loona high note" video but not a single Jinsoul note was included. Yet, Kim Lip can breathe and stans would be like "zomg high note!!!!!!!!!!!"



I'm not putting down Kim Lip but people put Jinsoul down so often for Lip and I'm just saying that everybody has their own vocal strengths and weaknesses; Lip's isn't belting out high notes, though she has a naturally higher range. Like come on. How could you not even include this?



People wanna act like Jinsoul is talentless and only good for being pretty when the girl is literally the only member of LOONA with a degree and studied music SMH
