I'll write it here because it's actually scary how much power companies can have over people in Korea. CJ E&M blocked Daniel from ever appearing on their shows simply due to his previous company being under CJ E&M and he dared to defy them. He was never nominated for M Countdown after his comeback. Another issue is Korean certain news sites having the power to eradicate an idol from industry, by putting out news that are considered defamatory, if you don't know a thing about idol you'll think it's all true by just reading these news and you'll make your own judgment based on that. Plus, a lot of these newspapers and TV channels in Korea sponsor certain music awards, such as GDA. JTBC has a deal with CJ E&M, it's not some kind of conspiracy theory, that the reason why Daniel didn't win anything is because he lacked sales/digitals, it's because of who he is. They only nominate people for sake of having a list, not because they were ever going to be a fair. I mean, look at GDA winners from Produce alumni, both Chungha and Jaehwan are under companies affiliated with CJ E&M.
Now, with X1 is the exact same issue, except the ones doing the blocking are not CJ E&M, but the ones who oppose them. Daniel is lucky to be a solo singer and to win his court case but despite getting all the CF's and such, he still struggles to be invited to the award shows and other certain events, you can sell 1 million albums and it wouldn't matter if you're never going to win from the get go because of your background. I think in this case it'd just be safer to restart all over again than to be that group who's always associated with rigging, I also feel sorry for the members, but do you think they actually want to continue like this? Having a dedicated fandom is just not enough if all you can do is print albums and put them out for fans but to have them blocked from everywhere else. :/
