Run away from anything and everything that reminds you of it even a little bit... not sure if that's the right way but it's certainly my way :nekosweat::nekosweat:
That sounds like what I do,,, Not very efficient it seems.

Not caring is best way, but if you want to forget you probably care. Can you think what bothers you about them, them try to solve those issues maybe just in your mind and kinda change ur mindset about them? So that it wouldn't seem such big deal.

"I consider that a man’s brain originally is like a little empty attic, and you have to stock it with such furniture as you choose. A fool takes in all the lumber of every sort that he comes across, so that the knowledge which might be useful to him gets crowded out, or at best is jumbled up with a lot of other things so that he has a difficulty in laying his hands upon it. Now the skilful workman is very careful indeed as to what he takes into his brain-attic. He will have nothing but the tools which may help him in doing his work, but of these he has a large assortment, and all in the most perfect order. It is a mistake to think that that little room has elastic walls and can distend to any extent. Depend upon it there comes a time when for every addition of knowledge you forget something that you knew before. It is of the highest importance, therefore, not to have useless facts elbowing out the useful ones."

I'm just easily distracted by nature, so that's the easier way.

Just train on being distracted by anything and soon you'll forget everything.

Forgetting never works. Acceptance is how you can truly cope. Other than that, making new memories helps.
That sounds ok.

Like others have said, I try to embrace it. I've had moments that I completely want to erase from my memory but I wouldn't be the person I am today without those horrible memories. They've made me grow as a person. As much as I despise most of my past, I'm glad I experienced it.
