Idols color their hair blonde?

Every other race on the planet gets offended by something in kpop.

And here are white people just chilling like whatever.

White people is quite wide area and I don't think anyone feels ownership towards blonde hair. I guess some might get annoyed if their cultural stuff was misrepresented, I mean smaller units and more detailed practices and ways to dress etc. I mean if idol did mocking cosplay of Frenchman with baguette and silly moustache. Though I think even that wouldn't cause much outrage and would rather be taken as humor with stereotypes.

But Japanese people for example aren't rly bothered either if their culture gets used in someway. It's other being bothered in their behalf. So maybe it's about feeling of threat which is probably more experienced within minorities?

Because the white people who would get annoyed at that stuff are usually 1. Getting annoyed for another race or 2. Getting annoyed at people getting annoyed at them with these matters.

Well the vast majority of white people aren't blond so I don't think they really associate it with being white like other races do

Honestly, I've noticed with a lot of things people get offended by when used outside of its context is a very Western thing. If, for instance, you were to say you were a Roman Catholic who worships land spirits a whole lot of people would get heated and say you couldn't do that... While mixing of religious traditions, even contradictory ones are done in parts of Asia and nobody bats an eye at...

I don't see white people getting mad about the blonde thing, because its so common for someone to dye or wear a wig or get blonde extensions among white, black, hispanic, Asian people that nobody would bat an eye at it. The only time I see non-white people getting backlash for bleaching their hair blonde or wearing hair pieces that are blonde, it is usually by non-white people who make assumptions about their intentions for dying their hair.

Its sort of like how I don't care if Koreans get blonde hair, as I didn't care when Tiny Harris went to Africa and changed her eye color permanently to blue. Even though it sort of looks weird..

But I might see it differently if I were Somi or someone living in Korea who was treated as an outsider for being of mixed race lineage..

Similarly, I could see a gay male living in Korea being annoyed at idols being featured in fashion campaigns, because of the way SK treats gays. I, myself, wouldn't be liked that [even though I am gay] and don't really care when CL or Lisa is/are involved in fashion campaigns, but... if a bigoted idol (i.e. Siwon from Suju) all of a sudden started working with brands such as Versace, D&G, Armani (all of which were founded by individuals who were LGBT) then I might have a problem.

Setting aside my opinions on cultural appropriation and hair, I don't see how anyone can feel offended for hair color
It's not culture (or I'm unaware of an culture that takes ownership of it), it's naturally occurring genetics that while rare, can occur in other races
I dont see anyone getting mad at white people for dying their hair either.

Race is a touchy subject with a lot of people these days. It shouldn't be an issue, but people like to make things their business or an issue out of nothing.
As a Eursasian gonna get my hair blonde, see what the other races have to say *shrugs*

Nitpicking about every little thing is what makes life depressing, which is why I choose to ignore everything around me.

My dad and his brothers had blonde hair as kids. I never got to see that. I got my mum's hair, which is black. : x

Though most of them are also bottle blondes. Natural blond is quite rare, especially within adults. Like my brother had blond hair as kid, but it turned light brown when he was teenager.

Some Asians suit blonde hair well, like CL and Hyoyeon. If you can pull it off then go for it.

My mum’s hair went a bit like your brother’s too, but mine and a cousin’s blonde has stayed the same. It changes slightly during the year, depending on the amount of sunlight we get.

I get your point about bottle blondes. I remember being on a train once, and a woman said she loved my hair colour, and then decided to ask me what brand of hair dye it was.

well, it could be because blond is a pretty color? I dont really know because i have natural blond hair but it suits a lot of people including kidols.....i see a lot of people dye their hair blond and it looks good on them. But i dont know for sure lmao

Over Christmas I saw in the news that a muslim celeb was getting hate online for posting a photo with his family (who weren't all muslim may I add) in front of a Christmas tree, but I don't see any white ppl getting mad at white atheists celebrating Christmas. Although Christmas has it's Christian roots I think for a very long time it's also primarily been just a time to celebrate with your family just like thanksgiving so I think people of all religions should be allowed to celebrate the holidays with their families if they choose to. People from different religions and cultures should accept each other, not divide us even more. Cultural appropriation is valid in a lot of cases but the majority right now is just people getting offended just because they can, not because there's a real issue at hand.
