Dispose of tampons?? Like there's got to be a better way than just wrapping them in toilet paper before putting them in the bin. I sometimes just drop them in the toilet and flush em if i'm in a rush because it's so hard to wrap them up without touching anything other than the string when ur in a hurry, but the toilet paper can easily unwrap or just disintegrate. It would be nice if you could put them in the wrapper of the next tampon u open like u can with pads, but that's impossible when the tampon expands after being used and u can't actually touch the tampon itself... I've heard there's little baggies that we can put stuff in before putting it in the bin but that's so wasteful... I can't just put the tampon straight in the bin either because it'll touch the sides, it's especially prevalent with public toilets so I don't even bother binning and just flush them... either way someone's gonna be either unclogging the toilet or cleaning blood off the bin like u can never win with periods can you?

As someone who work janitorial I will tell you less blood gets on the bin then you think. Thre usually is a paper liner in there with a wax coating that prevents nasty. So long as it's cleaned regurarly disposing it in a trashcan isn't an issue for anyone but you. Now if you just pull it out and lob it into the bin without a care-well then you might as well be writing on the wall.

And please don't flush, that's worse on cleaners then a unwrapped bloody tampon in he bin.

Again with the less then you think. I fyou are really worried you can make little packets to keep with your tampons. Use wax paper and either tape or glue the edges to form a little baggy

LOL I started using them pretty early on, idk why they're seen as a step up from pads it's just you trade one type of comfort (not having to sit in ur own blood until u find a bathroom) for another discomfort (being stabbed in the cervix if u sit down wrong) when I bought tampons for the first time my mum was like 'omg she's finally a woman' and it's like ??? It's just a different way of catching the blood it isn't a big deal for people to decide to use them or decide not to use them lol

It does, but unless it's literally dripping from your hooch your good. And if it is dripping you either waited to long or need to use a tampon for a heavy day.

I’ve never flushed anything down the toilet before, but I wish there was a faster/cleaner way to remove a pad and tampon. It feels disgusting when you remove it and spend like 5 minutes trying to get rid of it. Somebody should come out with something you can just flush, like toilet paper. Also quieter

I'm not shy about the ripping sounds of taking off or unwrapping a pad anymore but it still feels gross rolling it up, tampons are more convenient for me comfort wise but changing them is even worse

@Skinnny @kodoku the only time I tired to use one when it came unexpectedly at a water park. Disney water park non-the less. There was a nurse retirment reunion that day and I swear that was the most exciting thing for them that day. Teaching a 19 year old how to use a tampon. Then turns out I can'tuse em becasue some woman have-um-kinks in their plumbing per-say.

Never used a tampon in my life... I did attempt once by no go...(I have a thing where that area locks up, I don't have time to have to relax my self Everytime I have to put on in or take it out... It getting stuck there is real issue for me, stupid clamping mechanism...)
But you know how there's nappy (diaper, I'm British we use nappy) bags scented for disposal, there's small disposable scented bags for pads and tampons too....well atleast we have them here people can buy them.
But no really thinks about them too much..some people probably don't know they exist
