yet I've seen thousands pat themselves on the back for being multis and ?withstanding multi hate i gues?

It definitely happens.
MOSTLY from ARMY tbh and ARMY were the first ones to start hating on multi fans.

Koreans look down on multis too, its not just stan twitter. I don't know if it's the case anymore or not but they even used a slightly derogatory phrase to refer to miltis. For them it kind of has to do with how much stuff they need to do to be considered a "real fan" by their standards. Not just buying albums and streaming, but also going to all their events, all their music shows, ect. For them it's honestly unreasonable to be a multi given those expectations. As far as international fans though it's more limited since the expectations aren't as strict especially since you quite frankly can't do most of those things anyways unless you fly to Korea.
That only really applies if you interact with Korean fans though which is less likely. For international fans it mostly comes from stan twitter. I could post examples but I think it's not needed at this point. At the same time I have also seen multis who dislike people that stan exclusively one group also.

Most people who hate on multis would consider you a multi yeah, they're very serious about liking one group and one group only.

multis honestly have a bit of a superiority complex

Sometimes yeah, they do. I'd say its about equal to multi haters from what I've seen. Especially when you bring in delulu multi haters, then it gets messy,
