Do you think they would have much more sales? I mean, they already have a lot of sales, but do you think they would have similar sales to BTS if they released music regularly?

Blackpink could have picked up more fans with more comebacks but I'd see them either matching Twice or just being a bit bigger than them at the very best.

As for matching BTS I doubt it, I don't think we're in a time where a girl group could reach the top boy groups album sales since kpop is more so aimed at female fans which is gonna lead to mostly boy group stans.

I think Girls' Generation beating Super Junior was a pretty rare occurrence that just won't happen again for a long time.

I love their MVs and 50% of their songs but sometimes I wait more than a year for a song and end up not liking it at all. Nobody wants to wait more than a year for 1 song (or 4 if we're lucky).

I don't think they would have more sales for one album, sales per album might even decrease a bit. But they would have more sales overall.

yes definitely, even two comebacks a year would increase their sales by a shit ton. if they fed their Korean fans more with more comebacks and music, there's no doubt that their sales would boost up like crazy. I mean their Chinese fans alone have raised enough money (over a million dollars) to buy 110,000 albums for their upcoming comeback, which is the highest a Chinese fanbase has ever raised for a Korean girl group. and it hasn't even been announced, they're predicting that the number of preorders is going to skyrocket once we actually get an official comeback date and an official preorder link as well.

see if I was the CEO of yg, world peace would not only be restored but I would also distribute bp albums in SEA. places like Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia, etc would be a gold mine for bp sales considering they're extremely popular over there. Id also distributes their albums in the west as well considering their albums sales are increasing over there every single comeback.

So the EP probably would sell the same as theirs too, and they'd have reached the big numbers faster.

I agree. This seems like the most likely result. GGs with songs of the same popularity as an equivalent BG sell way less albums.

they would sell more. I do think tho the hype around a comeback would die down if they would have a ton of comebacks like if they would have 3 - 4 comeback a year - it would be overkill.
