Lol Ron was my fav character from the books too, and they just made him the sidekick with occasional funny lines, who only whines otherwise in the movies, coz main male and female leads were set with Harry and Hermione smh.
And RIP I hate Fantastic Beasts too :yolk:
Oh yay, another Ron stan, intellectual. I loved him because he seemed the most real, I guess. He was funny and naive and hotheaded, but I loved that he truly cared about his friends and sacrificed everything for them. true loyalty. i hate that they fucked up his whole personality. in the books he was actually pretty sweet but he was honestly kinda mean in the movies and was just used as comic relief.

oh well, it's not for everyone but i loved fantastic beasts.

They even took away his best line from the Azkaban movie and gave it to Hermione I swear :yolk:

And true, he always seemed the most perfect while Hermione and Harry had Mary Sue/Gary Stu tendencies. He makes mistakes, but comes back and improves, he's always loyal but succumbs to human feelings like jealousy and inferiority complex too. He has self doubt but learns to believe in himself and comes into his own, esp. in the final 2 books.

All that gone in the movies rip :yolk:

I think the Fantastic Beasts movies aren't bad, I just don't like Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander, weak choice of a protagonist imo. Everything else is fine.

tbh i would want it but i just know that they'll fuck it up so i dont even want it. I honestly feel like they could have been way better. the actors were fine, and the sets were amazing (that was one thing i liked about the movies, the books really came alive in that sense) but i think the director + screenwriters seriously fucked up. and ikr fantastic beasts is so good, it's honestly way better than the movies.

I honestly hated movie Hermione. Book Hermione was a know-it-all too, but she had faults. Her fault was that she was a know-it-all and everyone hated her for it, and she had her own insecurities about herself, meanwhile movie Hermione is a literal bitchy Mary Sue. And yeah it was definitely so much fun to see Ron grow as a character. Especially when he became a prefect, that was honestly one of my favorite moments in the whole series.

Fair enough. I like him but I guess I see why people would think that.

fantastic beasts were okay to me but i still cant get invested in it.
its still better than that disgrace of a sequel tho. good thing i borrowed it from the library to read instead of buying it cause i wanted to chuck it against a wall.

You mean The Cursed Child? Yeah, I’m pretty sure everyone hated that one. For good reason too. It was horrible.

freaking truee. like in the scene where malfoy becomes the slytherin seeker, hermoine literally drags ron to the two team to argue with him. like just stay out of other people's business for god's sake. youre not even on the team. like i get u wanted to defend ur friend but theres something called timing and they werent even attacking harry. dont get so offended about getting called a mudblood, u went looking for it in the first place :pandamad:

Yeah she was such a bitch honestly. Sad because she was one of my favs in the book but movie Hermione can go die in a ditch.

yeah the slytherin hate was strong in that one and they were blaming scorpius cause they thought his mother slept with the voldy. like if u act like that towards him and expect bad things from him ofc the kid will retaliate and become evil out of his insecurities.

True I felt bad for him. My main problem with it was the plot though, it just didn’t make any sense and was not very well done at all.
