There are different levels to conspiracy theories. Saying all of them are the same I think is a bit on fair.

The good, because SCIENCE yo. Example: Aliens are real, AU verses, time travel. Anything that can plausibly be real.

The Amusing/Facepalm, they do no real harm to anyone just makes the person making them look silly. Example: Alien conspiracies other then their real, chemtrails, We never landed on the moon, Disney head on ice, Government lasers start wild fires.

The bad: Lets make this simple and say anything that causes harm and makes victims. Example: Vaccines cause autism, Big Pharma is out to get you (well they are but not to the point you should neglect your kids medical care) 5G caused the Corona Virus. Sandy Hook never happened.

Yeah you're right, some are fine. I'm mostly thinking about the ones that are potentially dangerous (like antivax) or are about actual tragic events (9/11), or ones that are plain fear mongering and trying to cause hysteria.

Yeah the ones that are fear mongering are the worst. If America wasn't ready to open yet can you imagine the mess these theorists created by pushing against safety measures. I have one on my facebook and my god the misinformation they spread.
And the worst of the worst. Those who fear monger and hide under their flag and/or relgiion

oh cuz the Las Vegas one was very suspicious (everyone who was there had their phones and laptops confiscated and they were wiped clean when they got them back + witnesses said there were multiple shooters)

The way to overpower a conspiracy theorist is to go even crazier than them.
If they believe the earth is flat, then you ridicule them for believing the earth exists and isnt an elaborate hologram created by our minds

I don't focus much on them, but I wanna know the origin of conspiracy theories. Like how did this concept even begin.

The CIA popularized the term “conspiracy theorist” to discredit it. Now anything labeled with that is brushed away immediately since it’s associated with flat earth and stuff, so the legitimate theories go ignored. Remember to never trust the government buds!

Ngl some of them used to freak me out really badly. Mainly because I have anxiety and my little mind loves to overthink everything
I used to be freaked out about the theory of parallel universes for some reason.

Thankfully they don't really scare me anymore and I actually find some of them pretty interest. Or I find them stupid

It'd be funny if the illuminati do exist, but their main goal is to control people by making them believe in all the theories.

Some of them are definitely giving you material to think about. Majority is trash, yes, but there are some theories I believe in as well.
