I know I am late to this. And twice's cb is about to drop. But I'm angry after just finding out about plandemic and how much support it has gained.
I've really just lost hope in humanity with this. I know people are vunerable with the covid situation. But this movement is scary, and sooo frustrating. I found out by coming across some normal covid information videos and the comments are just filled with these anti-vaxx conspiracies. Apparently Bill gates and Fauci are villains now, and all doctors are lying to us according to them and they planned it all and vaccines are just marketing ploys. There's just a shocking amount of these people, the dislikes on informative covid videos right now is staggering. And they accuse anyone who supports doctors to be paid off or afraid of the government. They believe bill gates and doctors are taking away their rights. Like ffs, doctors are helping people not trying to take away your right you ignorant pricks. And of course, they believe everyone else is ignorant and sheep where none of their claim remotely make any sense. The worst part is anti-vaxx has gained a lot of traction from this movement which means public health will continue to suffer.

Yeah I'm really disappointed in this era of misinformation we're in. I legit get so angry. And you're right, these people are very self centred so they believe the stuff going on there means everything.

They are really the alternative facts crowd. I think it's always important to make your own opinion and not trust blindly, but you shouldn't trust blindly people with no actual credits and research either!

Exactly. Like they claim that everyone else is sheep and blind to the facts. But they bet their life that a 30-minute video made by someone they never knew about before is somehow the whole truth. That's not how fact checking works.

I just wish it wouldn't affect other people as much. But when it comes to public health, it's really harmful to everyone else too. sigh

In some places being antivax is a crime, and while I think free speech is good I do think they have the right idea in a lot of ways considering that it affects others too, not just the person in question

Yeah. There are no easy answers in life when it comes to policies like these. Some people support total free speech on principle which is understandable, but this kind of thinking really gets more people sick by weakening herd immunity and stuff. It shouldn't be allowed to propagate.

Gosh this issue raises my blood pressure so I completely ignore it in real life. It just frustrates me to NO end! I already have to deal with annoying anti-vaxxers on the regular but now they're acting as if their conspiracy theories are fact and they were right all along in not vaccinating themselves and their kids. It's just SO annoying and I'm so sick of this entire thing. And then when they (and their kids) get sick they go around blaming doctors. I can seriously go on a ten hour rant about this but before I give myself a headache I'm going to just go.

But yeah, the internet has created safe spaces for people with troubling ideas to meet. Like before the internet, flat earthers wouldn't be able to meet other flat earthers to validate each other so easily. All that validation makes them believe even more that they are right. And now worse anti-vaxxers fml

Totally. It's a quirk of human nature that we believe people who say they have all the answers. But when it comes to science, the people who are honest about what they don't know are the ones who are more trustworthy, but less people seem to trust them. Ironic indeed. It's kind sad how that works.

You were right. Against my better judgement, I'm seeing some of the plandemic footage, they introduce her as "one of the most accomplished scientists of her generation". Like what? According to who? What real scientist introduces themselves like that? I guess that's how she got people to believe her, just by saying that?
