And before you say anything, I don't agree with anything that they police have done or are doing either.
My point is that there are different ways to do things, you know like Martin Luther King did? He made a difference and I think there should be someone like him who will lead.

Another point is that by rioting just 24 hours after, you are taking away the main focal point of what originally happened and that is George Floyd getting killed by a police officer who devastatingly knelt on his neck for about 8 minutes.

You do realise that by rioting, it only makes things a lot worse? Also, what about those small businesses that are destroyed in the riots? what about people's property? People who haven't even done anything, yet they have everything they have worked for their whole lives just destroyed? How the hell is that justice?

Here are a couple of examples from the 90's:

And here's a most recent video:

You see, violence is not the answer to defeat racism or any other type of discrimination and there are different ways to deal with this type of situation.

Riots are not the answer as they just cause more destruction!

Most of those suspected of being responsible for the violence in the protests are suspicious like undercover cops and people who just want chaos and the way some of the protests turned violent is when the police came in and started beating up the protesters.

It's a very gray line on who to blame for the violence in them that I think is just half of one and half of the other for multiple different reasons.

People can have debates of who is responsible and what not.. but the fact that some journalists have gone on TV and showed little to no sympathy for such acts is troubling. Or writing articles detailing views of how looting and rioting and burning down businesses is causing positive social change.

I agree that there's no need to violent riots in these protests. The businesses are not to blame and are victims here. But with the incredible scale of the demonstrations, we should remember the vast majority of protests are peaceful and a lot of these riots are played up by certain outlets. It's unfortunate that there will be people that take advantage by looting and violence but there will always be cases.

I hvnt written anything anywhere abt this whole subject as in Asian in S.E.A. but from my reading intermittently thru the years, Martin Luther King Jr ans Malcolm X were both instrumental in the Civil Righrt movement in USA while they were alive.

I read:
and i dont think tat the protests r very different from the 60s n b4 from wat is happening this year, except opponents/oppotunist maybe learned tat creating riots while peaceful protests go on derail the protests. (I think the riots in the 90s ard Rodney King beatings taught many lessons some of which hv been forgotten/misinterpreted

Tat George Floyd n Ahmaud Arbery n many others hv died since Rodney King i think shows tat how much difference has happened between the 90s and 2020, in both good n bad ways. So i dont personally condemn or condone the rioting per se. I decry the underlying unfairness of why people protest n seek a fairer treatment from police; n tat opportunists stop using the chance to loot n riot. Most or all protesters arent rioting and/or looting.

This is my personal opinion, so if you find fault with it: ill listen to ur opinion but im not close or 100% informed on it so pls bear with me as i listen.
