Do you think you'll always have somewhat of an interest or do you think you'll be out within a few years?

I think I'll always have a bit of an interest in the music but the fandom culture side I could be out of within a couple of years as my stan list is only getting smaller.​

there are sm people I've met thanks to kpop, but I'm already starting to lose interest in the genre,, might stick around for smngg but if none of the srg girls or jimin make it into the group, I might just drift further away tbh

A while I think. I really don't see myself leaving while SuperM and Shinee are active and I think Shinee will be around for years yet.

erm.... I have been a fan since 2012, so to say a few years and i'd be out wouldn't work since I have listened to it for eight years. Having said that I do take periodic breaks from k-pop, because I have a sort of all-or-nothing based personality where I will listen to k-pop regularly for months and then take a while off and then resume a bit later. This all-or-nothing mind set is related to basically everything else in my life, so its not just k-pop. At this time, however, I am done with much of the fan fighting. The "what constitutes" a stan and the echo chamber that fans of x group put themselves in as well as the respector of persons that many of the fans have in respect to their favorite group (i.e. will be mad when someone says something negative about BP, but exhibits the same behavior when speaking about Momoland)..

I'll still be listening to K-Pop when I'm @DrewB and @RandAlThor age, just as I'll prolly still be listening to Evanescence, Linkin Park and all the other music I still listen to that I've been listening to since I was 15.

Not much into stan culture, and I'm more into music than anything else. (saying that to say my engagement with K-Pop is not as involved as many others -- not actively involved in fandom culture, streaming culture, being up-to-date on this and that).

So, I don't see myself ever being fully "out of K-Pop," but I go through downswings every now and then.
I'm on a downswing now -- not as involved in watching videos and talking to other fans, but still listening to the music. I've been diligently going through various Kpop discographies lately and just enjoying that... but I've been overall meh on the culture.
