on one hand, I do really appreciate the work they pull for free, but at the same time,, some of the bigger accs have massive egos lmao. Like nothing against their work, but some seem to love getting worshipped

Agreed. I've seen the rise and fall of a few that got big but did stupid things and I don't even think they have accounts anymore

yeah I remember during the airing of qcyn2 translation account who got super popular and then blm happened and she said a bunch of dumb stuff and deleted all her accs
but yeah, I’m super grateful to the accs who don’t get their egos inflated and just focus on translations and not their popularity

but even then, I don't mind if accs get involved with some (reasonable level) drama if they like own up to it and don't try and pretend to be holier-than-thou. The ones who send their followers after criticisers are the worst

honestly, thought we were pass throwing Korean words around but cringe stan twitter showed me I was wrong lol
I can understand being thankful for translations but the idolization of translator is beyond me. Same goes for stan accounts tbh
