I haven´t watched the reboot, but I remember watching the original show really religiously when I was a kid.
My favourite was and forever will be Piper. I loved her and Wyatt and loved that episode when they are old and playing scrabble together and I remember when he told her "I wanna grow old and play scrabble with you".
When I was little I really wanted a husband like Wyatt and three girls ♥, BUT I had such a crush on Cole, ahaha.

I remember we were pretending to be the character and I always HAD TO BE PIPER. DEDICATION :D

Best Character: Prue. Not only for her sense of duty, but her personality itself. In 'The Wedding From Hell' she had this banter with Phoebe in her office where she assumes that Phoebe is pregnant... or when she calls Phoebe a boyfriend stealer [The Fourth Sister]...

Best Couple: Prue and Andy. I know. A couple that is together for a third of a season... but still Cole and Phoebe always irritated me. If I were younger I would say Piper and Leo, but now when rewatching certain episodes, they [as a couple] annoy me...

Best Season: Season Three.

So many things about this season make it the best. The slow dissolution between prue and phoebe over cole in the early episodes. Piper's wedding. Prue's pseudo acceptance of cole. Prue's sense of self related to her being a charmed one is very clear this season... which makes the finale even more real.. I remember a scene in Sin Francisco where there wasn't a demon attack, but Prue was randomly scrying for evil anyway. Phoebe's deception. Cole going undercover [Demon Who came in from the cold & Exit Strategy are two of the best episodes in the series. I could watch them on a loop]...

Although, I was disappointed that Brad didn't offer Shannen better, as she said that she would have appeared in the finale if she was given a better offer... But I could go on about Charmed, but I think this post is long enough.

don't bother with the reboot, it is no good i think so and i believe a lot of other charmed fans think so
i understand why you say piper, i do, she is the caring type in a lot of ways, that is nice

oh i definitely understand you mentioning andy, i JUST rewatched season 1 myself.... i really like him and it would of been awesome if he had stayed way longer, at least like three seasons just like prue

... Although if you're interested, while the comics don't contain her likeness they do have her character.. well sort of.

Also, you didn't ask, but I think there was a thing where originally Shannen didn't know she wasn't going to return for season 4 before she was fired, because after filming 'All Hell Breaks Loose' she was filming a movie in Canada and was shocked when she got the call that she was fired. And since she directed All Hell Breaks Loose she would know the episode inside and out.. It would have been interesting to see how season 4 would have worked if she hadn't been fired though. Paige wouldn't be a thing and they would prolly focus on Phoebe trapped in the underworld which I hope would have been resolved with a 2 part episode followed by a transition into what was the S4 storyline (Cole becomes human. Prue, instead of Paige, returns to distrusting him, and then the eventual Phoebe becoming queen and later vanquishing Cole... Although, it would have been interesting if she stayed The Queen a bit longer than an episode.. In any event, while being influenced by the demonic baby, I do think Prue would have been hard on Phoebe post-Long Live The Queen.

Something else I thought about: We didn't cover so many of the relationships. I mean we have Piper and the grad student [I forget his name]; Prue and Jack; Prue and Justin; Phoebe and Miles; Phoebe and Drake; Paige and Kyle; Paige and Henry; Phoebe and Coop [which they could have developed better]; Phoebe and Dex [which was a bit weird]... and then there's the men who really should have been made into relationships: Eric from They're Everywhere would be an example...

and yes it would of been fun and nice to see her as evil queen
but it also would of been epic if no one got in cole his way and he stayed
because i think the final guy phoebe got with in season 8 was LAME

my heart was so warm when cole returned in season 7 for like an episode

the whole concept of someone evil fighting themselves on the inside so hard to be good
their relationship was beautiful
the willpower was immense
it is hot as fak
but some fakin demon had to get in the way

I didn't mind coop. The more I watch S3A, S4B, and S5A the less and less I like Cole. I understand his redemption and I even like him in The Demon Who Came in From The Cold, Exit Strategy, Hell Hath No Fury, Enter The Demon, Brain Drain, and Charmed and Dangerous... But then I watch episodes like Primrose Empath, The Fifth Halliwheel, Sam I Am, and Y Tu Mummy Tambien and get really annoyed.

But back to Coop. He was introduced late in S8. Episode 16. And didn't have much time to develop, but I didn't mind him and they had to give Phoebe a happy ending, so.. They could have done better by introducing him earlier instead of Dex or even bypassing him completely and using Dex as her love interest for the season, as he was introduced when she was still under the glamour created after the battle of S7 with Zankou.

Yeah, I saw a small scene from the new charmed and it seemed a little campy. Not that the original didn't have its share of campy episodes (c.f. The Nymph Episode), but the scene was so melodramatic and extra...

Would have been nice to see more of the Wyatt & Chris dynamic of Charmed Forever in place of what was seen in S6, as Chris wouldn't have been antagonistic toward him in the new timeline..

As long as we can agree that when doing rewatches of Buffy, we try to avoid S6 as much as possible.

S1 has the best atmosphere. The extra cheese factor is part of its charm. I love it.

Exactly. Some of the filler episodes in S4-7 are just too much though. Beer Bad and Where the Wild Things are were just too much.. Funny though. SMG just said that through the pandemic she had her kids watching buffy... She's going to have to skip S6 unless she wants to explain addiction, toxic sexual relationships, and rape to children...

I saw that. So cool shes marathoning Buffy with her kids. S6 though might be the darkest season of any show ever.

I'm in the minority but I do prefer 4 over 5. S4 was much more fun while S5 was kind of boring and gloomy. Glory is so fucking awesome though. Her scenes with her minions always cracks me up.

A crossover with Willow and Tara visiting the Charmed sisters would have been great.

Riley and Adam were the main reason indeed. But Spike was at his all time best in S4.

Also agree about Buffy on that episode. She was a judgmental bitch.

The earlier episode she appeared in was actually one of the best episodes of the entire series. Forgot the name. When Angel turns human.

yeah the whole phoebe love plot was a whole flop to be honest
at least piper was ok with leo from the start huh, well not literally but i mean, their story had like 8 seasons to develop

also can i just say i think it is extremely hot to talk about charmed with a man? i never met anybody who knows SO MUCH about charmed on this level, let alone a man (i guess most fans were female)

Nah. I haven't used twitter since 2014 ish...

Most of it I've heard from fans across many fan sites that I lurk on.. And have heard prior. And Shannen doesn't do herself any favors at times. She was on andy cohen's show and he asked her to say three nice things about Alyssa Milano and she said: "Well, She's Pretty. She's Pretty... and.. She's Pretty." But there is some fan lore that Alyssa Milano was calling the shots, but I think it was more complicated than that.. There have been conflicting reports though with that part with Shannen saying that she was fired abruptly and then saying on ET that she wanted to quit and was tired of it:
