It looks like we have pretty much the exact same mentality, although I wouldn't mind extending my life a bit (like maybe a decade or two) before going as long as I can still function.

I want to only live until an age where I can continue living independently. I don’t want to be alive at a time where I’m forced to start depending on others due to health problems or old age. So up until then, I’m happy.

2. living forever means at one point or another you will become trapped in a situation you can't escape from. it's a logical extension of immortality without any other power

Yeah but think about keep in mind that forever literally has no end.
I fear death too, but forever almost seems worse than death to me. At some point, if you live for that long, I feel like it would become torturous to such an extreme level, but you would have no escape from it.

No as I do not fear death. I have come to terms with death as what makes life beautiful is the memories you make with the people around you not how much time is spent. The most beautiful moments can be short and fleeting, but they're still beautiful. I'll make the best of the time I have.
