Some people take streaming waaaay too far (1 Viewer)

Like yeah I love my faves and want them to be successful, but... not to this extent. I would never sacrifice my sleep or education for this

I'm sure your faves will be fine without some Youtube views

What are your thoughts?

Also stay in school and don't stream all night kiddos

[brekker]

I think that´s the adrenaline rush, the same gamers get when they are playing a game. All these fans have in front of their eyes are just some numbers they want to reach, no matter the quality.

I care very little about numbers and I´m very often amazed how a really good song can have less views than something so average. But again, I suppose there is a goal, a number that people want to reach and that´s all that matters.

I don´t know whether it´s insane or really sad.

Why didn't they just use the Justin Bieber method of playing the song on mute all night while you sleep? Amateurs...

I'm not even surprised anymore.

I knew that some kids went to bed late because of it but some don't even sleep and go to school... damn. This seems beyond any help

I guess they didn't think that through

Streaming isn't everything. Numbers aren't everything, charts aren't. Awards aren't either, sorry. You can participate, but those numbers and votes are not more important than your own life and wellbeing.

I've never done this but even I came up with it just now.

I understand that people want to reach certain numbers, but I really don't think it's worth it if you're sacrificing sleep and school. Then again if it's how they want to spend their time then so be it ig

explain that to a fourteen year old girl whose only happy moment is seeing her band win. that´s just an example of course, insert any person you want. isn´t there something really wrong when you are ready to sacrifice your health and your future for something so ... pathetic? are bts coming to save all those kids? and is it their responsibility? of course not. but isn´t it sad that someone´s life is so empty that what makes them happy is a number?

I can see myself having an existentialist crisis today. Let me find my Camus quotes. It is probably not that deep, but maybe there is something to be done about it. Count the person, not the numbers of streaming by one person?

THIS SHIT is why I am so against streaming! THIS SHIT

[cosmic_gayls]

i dont mind streaming as long as people arent forcing you to stream and forcing you to not comment on music videos with emojis cause it fReEzEs ViEwS but streaming also helps the artists get wins and people just want their faves to get wins

[Jimimis]

If they enjoy it then more power to them, though I suspect most of those replies are lying by too

i don't really like the idea of streaming in general, but this is a whole different level. it looks like they're not only sacrificing their health and education for streaming but also blaming other people for not doing so which is even worse. prioritizing a group of people who don't know they exist over their education (i admit there was a time where i would watch music videos during classes but it wasn't for streaming, never got that far and i stopped when i got caught lmao) or basic human needs is unhealthy and i'm sure bts will be fine if these people simply decide to go to school instead of streaming their mv.

[Wingfrost]

I remember when I first got into Kpop and I thought it was something that HAD to be done because how people seemed to talk about it. I streamed the MV 3 times then gave up because I got bored.

[lunaria]

this is so unhealthy to do to yourself, and to shame other people into streaming and sacrificing their well-being is gross as hell
