I don't get it, how? He just said because of Boa's impact overseas, SNSD was able to debut internationally too. Like if SNSD was a new gen group that recently debuted in the US after BTS's impact, I would get it but there's literally almost a decade in between each event... I don't understand why fans are offended at all over his comment. He didn't say anything wrong nor did he say anything to undermine anyone else's success??

ARMY conveniently forget that their own faves looked up to SM artists and likely wouldn't be where they are without them, and yes, that means America, too. Taehyung's first album purchase was SNSD, RM's was TVXQ, and Jimin and Hoseok both went for BoA. Some of these ignorant folks really need to stop running their mouths and take ALL the seats.

Discrediting BoA and SNSD is almost like saying SWV or Destiny's Child didn't leave an impact bcs you can't name any of their songs...

there are not many things in k-pop which annoy me as much as the whole 'who paved the way' argument. i just don't get why they're so obsessed with turning k-pop idols into construction workers. it doesn't even make much sense here because how is bts supposed to pave the way for snsd who was last active as a group when bts' latest comeback was spring day...
