i looked at my biases in each group i stan and i seem to prefer vocalists. not always main vocals, but usually someone in the vocal line. i also found that a lot of them had "unique" vocal colors, and that i prioritize stage presence. how about you ?

Usually j just go: oh, those two are pretty... and then I watch stuff of the group and kinda fawn over all of them and flipflop like a kpop hoebag.

Until one of them bitchslaps me subconsciously into submission all like “no, bitch you look at me.”

But seriously, I have a implicit habit of choosing rappers and/or those who have a ridiculous personality.. Although, if I see a drama with a character from a group it may be hard for me to resist the draw to that member. *coughs* Kyungsoo *coughs*

Birthday may play a factor too... You can tell me all you want, but I have found it true that birthday, to a degree, had a correlation with personality traits. Also, it doesn't hurt developing a sort of likeness to an idol who shares your birthday or birthday month. Not everyone can be as lucky as me to have been born on the same day and year as Bomi...

With almost all of my biases it's fall in love from first sight, well maybe not first sight, but there is usually one specific moment that catches me and hooks me for the rest of eternity.
Soooo overall my biases need to be attractive to me & have a shining moment to show themselves off.

For my biases....

With Woozi it was his solo dance in don't wanna cry
With Kai it was his foot move in Overdose
With Sanga formerly of Pink Fantasy it was her being playful in the Playing House performance video
With Rocket Punch's Sohee it was her smile and the way she did one specific dance move in Juicy
With Treasure's Asahi it was the one damn line he had in Going Crazy
With Chenle it was how cute he was in Chewing Gum
With Suga it was the fight scene with Jungkook from Run MV

And then there is the one exception Kun, who I fell for over time bcs of his personality and not a specific moment from a video

I thought I prefer the leaders; but it has been a little different with my last stanned groups.

Former Dreamcatcher bias; JiU. leader. DC is growing in me again.
PassCode: Nao, leader.
Neo Japonism: Miruka, I generally liked her personality, but she's the center to my best understanding, not the leader.
Necronomidol: Himari, leader, but I got her mostly because of her voice.
Kolokol: Kino, this one may change since it's too premature to choose without knowing well the rest of the girls.

My biases don't share the same exact position or have similar looks so I'm not sure honestly... whoever ends up drawing me in, I suppose. I don't have a list of requirements haha.

I pick my biases based on looks first but then eventually change once I find the one whose personality I like the most

I picked my UB Youngjae because of his laugh and what a sunshine he is

I think I do love a good singer though, a lot of my biases are vocals

My biases in kpop impose themselves on me smh, unless a more imposing member supercedes them. Except i dont rmbr exactly how my first bias, Jessica became my ult bias whether i chose her becos of reasons or i just thot ig she's my ult bias now. I think i dint fully comprehend n aporeciate what stanning n bias meant when i first learned it in 2018, how your thots mold to the concept of stanning/bias instead of casually liking/obsessively listeninh before i got into kpop. I think tat my faves before kpop were cos ofvthe music n only slightly abt the ppl, cos b4 sns i couldnt find real time updates then. But with twt/ig/sns more updates mean more engagement.

Tats certainly how it seems to work out tat i hv more biases than stan grps now, n today i learned tat Winter from just a pic might be my latest bias, i dont even stan aespa at all. My bias just picks me smh. 💙 edit: (its also a kind of feedback loop, i suspect. If i dont look for more Winter content, i defo/probs wont get more into her rite? But being already hooked if i look into winter more ill be either attracted or lose interest, so tats also interesting-stop looking or keep looking, ill hv more l8r in my TED talk abt my bias/stan psychology behind lecture)
