I was really glad to see the progression of a lot of my bias groups throughout the years, I don't think too many of them just abruptly switched directions

Seventeen's progression from youthful and fresh to their music now felt very smooth. I don't think they sacrificed anything especially with these year's releases, Left and Right and Home Run are very much Seventeen songs

I also really like GOT7's shift to a more mature sound over the years too, they really fit the soft and strong concept well, especially JB and Jackson~~

Imagine if they kept releasing stuff like Cactus and Callin, we wouldn't get all of the banging high notes they hit, the harmonizations

Ngl my bias groups tend to release a variety more so than have a main concept to begin with. It must be nice to have a shift like that though ngl

I think what TVXQ did is just nuts went from 5 -2 from close to the perfect vocal group to a pair of guys just exploring music.

SJ well i do not think they have a main concept, but the transition to Latin inspired is really nice.

RV going a more velvet after it biting them in the butt early on.

I enjoy the Latin transition as well, I'm glad they fit the concept well!

Apink debuted as a cute/fresh group.

At the end of 2014 with 'LUV' they changed to a more mature/pure concept.

Then with 'I'm So Sick' in summer of 2018 they added more of a sexy vibe to their concept alongside their mature sound. They followed up with that vibe since then, so currently this is where Apink are :).

Apink comes from a cute and pure image to a more mature and girly image. The shift was very progressive and well-presented to the public. A lot of 2nd generation girl groups went from cute to a sexy/mature concept like Girl’s Day or an early third generation group like Laboum.
