it's been 7 years since sunkyung was officially made a member of smrookies !!
one of my biases of srg, it was heartbreaking to see her leave early this year, but it's really been a long journey huh

hope the best for her future, whatever she chooses to do

she was so favoured and so popular, I thought that she would've been a lock in smngg
like all those times she trended on weibo (hard unless you buy them lmao) for doing... absolutely nothing

I blame bad timing and changed priorities for SM... honestly felt like they were going to debut the White Fox lineup and but it got postponed so much that they eventually scrapped the group

imagine if they did debut though between rv and aespa though
we would've gotten that sweeter and cuter concept everyone is apparently super nostalgic for

I always thought they were waiting for her to turn 16...
they should have just done it with her as a minor and dealt with the issues.

the way I see it is
white fox = yiyang + koeun + hina + herin + ningning + lami + maybe suji

fell through, some girls (aka yiyang who didn't have the time to wait anymore and herin who was completely done with the industry) left

aespa = karina + winter + [hidden girls] + hina + ningning
but sm needed a rapper and replaced hina with giselle to fill in that spot

I don't see where the other known trainees—chaehyun, sera, jungmin, hyojin, jiyeon, eunjun, yejin, chaerin, mika, nanako—would've fit in between since all of them minus jungmin are more around koeun's age

yeah only yiyang and jungmin have a chance: yiyang since cidols are older in general, and jungmin since she’s still young

UGH Idk if she still wants to be an Idol but whoever ends up getting her as a trainee will be extremely lucky. they will basically have the next potential IT girl. I think letting her go was such a bad decision, imo. Would love to see what they would have done with a non girl crush concept in this generation... but watch another company beat them to it and become huge....

Oh I didn't know she is still listed under them.... wouldn't they have transferred her by now though? I don't know how that kind of thing works though. Yeah she already has 230k+ followers on instagram, she would be HUGE. I also miss koeun
