Just at the beginning of our second lockdown my dad had bought a coffee machine with a steamer attachment so i've been honing my barista skills and practicing to steam milk perfectly for latte art which is actually harder to get right than the pouring itself, you can't pour good art if you don't have the most perfectly steamed milk with exactly the right amount of foam I haven't really made any real patterns yet because i've just been pouring whatever while I try to get the milk right but i've made a few nice swirls and hearts here and there

I've even managed to get the milk steamed absolutely perfectly once too but I didn't realise just how well I did it until after I finished pouring a really crappy pattern because I just wanted coffee at the time one day imma get it perfect and all the baristas in the country will be shaking on their knees

I mean to watch yt for 24 hours straight i'd need to stay awake for 24 hours straight so thats certainly a skill I couldn't aqcuire or maybe i could Woah animation POG. I mean I know how to do it like the very basics in theory but i'm not big brain enough to go any further than that my bff made a lil gif animation of her art a while ago tho, I could never

This is why I only make gifs for things that already have their own frames aka videos

It mostly depends on the scene itself that you're trying to make a gif of tbh I can make 2 gifs using the exact same steps and not editing much at all and the results can be wildly different. Sometimes it goes funny because there's too much of one colour, sometimes it goes funny because the colours are all too similar, sometimes it goes funny because there's too many different colours, sometimes it goes funny cuz there's too much lightness, sometimes it goes funny cuz there's too much darkness etc etc etc. There's a lot of editing and playing around with colours for some gifs to render properly, whereas others I don't even need to touch. In fact there's even 2 examples of this in my sig, the Jennie gifs I barely touched (except putting the moons on em) because they were just balanced enough whereas the Ariana gif took so many drafts with just the tiniest lil changes to the colour settings to try balance it out more and stop the banding and the banding is still there a little bit but much less severe than if I hadn't touched the gif at all. Aside from banding there's also graininess which mostly happens when there's too many colours since .gif files can only use I think it was 246 colours total? So the more colours there are in the original frames you're trying to animate then it's gonna get more compressed and come out looking very grainy
