Welp. Guess it's official now, JYPE has stopped with the "we're still discussing" stuff and just come out with it.



Unless they pull a Shinhwa/Highlight, which seems pretty unlikely considering the members going into different agencies, this is the end of the group GOT7 as we know it. They had a pretty successful career, more than 90% of all Kpop groups, though they could've possibly achieved more given more agency support.

Yeah it’s good that the members can pursue their careers with more freedom now and do what they really want to, but the possibilities of a group reunion and activity is almost zero so it’s sad. Hope they can do a reunite for special occasions once or twice down the line atleast.

There's a Dispatch report I posted before that said the members cared about the group but disagreed on an agency and decided to ultimately part ways due to their disagreements as they almost all were looking at different agencies.

Yeah also from what I’m reading, 1-2 members wanted to stay with JYPE but the agency wasn’t willing to meet their demands, so that also contributed in everyone leaving.
Mark seems to be done with idol and celebrity life and Jinyoung seems intent on becoming an actor, Jackson will probably focus on Chinese activities and might even look at Hollywood, so this pretty much signifies the end rip.

Yeah in the report it mentioned which agencies they were potentially in contact with and they were pretty much all splitting up with Youngjae being interested in Sublime, Yugyeom in AOMG, Jinyoung in BH, BamBam with MakeUs and JB with an unnamed hip hop label while Jackson didn't have any indication and Marks plans just being staying at home and doing Youtube.

I keep on seeing members post vague 7 is Forever type of stuff and fans seem to swear they will continue as a group at different agencies. As we’ve seen with SNSD and Block B that’s pretty much unlikely.

But they could work together and collab in new ways. Sorta be an informal creative collective.
