!I'M NOT COOL!
I'M NOT COOL:
So my thing is I usually love the sound Hyuna has when she is singing and rapping but I feel like it was too much in this song in particular.
Super nasally, and just constantly nasally and higher pitched. It makes it sort of unappealing for me someone who normally really loves her releases. But I will say the bit after the I'm Not Cool where she is legit singing without any excessive noise or tones added is my favorite part of the song. The beat drop sounds very familiar like something I've heard everywhere and in every song. It doesn't add anything new to the song. Also, the ending bit of the song feels very sudden and out of place. But I will say it's one of my more favorite parts of the song. It feels more hyped than the start which I was hoping this song would feel more party than it does. It feels somewhat restrained to me until the end and then the actual ending of the song is pretty abrupt. The way the song is structured kind of reminds me of What You Waiting For by SOMI.

GOOD GIRL:
Oh, this is a unique tone for her. Why do her vocals at the start make me think of Hyoyeon? I also kind of like the tone she takes on it shows her vocal ability in my personal opinion. The chorus though is very, lackluster. I really love the parts before the actual chorus. But what annoys me a bit about the song is that the chorus does not pack a bunch but the pre-chorus almost makes you think you are about to get hit with a really hyped and fun chorus. But that isn't what you get, you get something lackluster instead. The song is catchy in a very basic way and that beat drop was just ok and sort of forgettable. Is someone else singing in this because the vocal run wasn't that bad in the background? It doesn't say there is another person singing so I don't know. But wow.

Ok, so this is a much slower and more chill vibe. This song almost gives you a spring rainy day vibe a bit which isn't bad by any means but also I don't know how I feel about it. I will say I enjoy her softer tone here, it's refreshing after the two songs we just listened to. But the chorus again kind of just fades into the background and leaves me wanting more but I think this is also just one of those songs that is just supposed to be in the background. It isn't meant to take center stage, it's just meant to accompany shit. Also, I do like the gradual sound increase with each chorus. I do like how the song ends though I think it's really pretty and flowy.

Party, Feel, Love:
Oh, I wasn't expecting Dawn to start this song. Interesting way to start the song but I do like the instrumental it also makes me anticipatory towards the rest of the song. This was the song based on the teasers that I was the most interested in and it is not what I was expecting. Unsure if that is a good thing or not. The instrumental doesn't change too much. So Hyuna is kind of doing this deadpan thing and I feel like it's meant to counteract but also work with Dawn's parts. I do like the effects that are being used on his parts though because I think it fits the instrumental and overall vibe of the song. The chorus isn't as catchy as I was thinking it would be, so I am disappointed right now. This song is once again VERY chill and relaxed. It isn't awful by any means but wow am I disappointed.

FLOWER SHOWER:
I don't remember ever liking this song tbh. I feel like the mixing in it isn't super well done because the vocals and harmonizing that is done on them is a bit jarring and I don't like it at all. Also the song I understand where it is meant to be catchy but I don't like it too much. It feels very bare all around leaving you to rely heavily on Hyuna and her ability. And I'm not saying she's untalented or bad by any means but she isn't actually singing or rapping in this song except for at one part. So she isn't even being relied on for what she prospers at and it leaves the song feeling empty. I can understand why people like this song but the only art I really like is nearer to the end where she is singing alongside a instrumental and it sounds really pretty. Then she goes into the chorus with that awful beat shit.

Genuinely disappointed in this whole entire release-none of the songs are particularly great or good. They are all mostly just ok and forgettable in a sense and I remember Hyuna NEVER being forgettable at one point because her songs and releases were always cultural resets in my book. So this is honestly really sad to me.
