I think the biggest problem is not knowing if the tag will actually go through, usually when you @ someone even if its half their name a windows drop down with all the different users but it doesn't for those who deactivated their account, so wasn't even sure myself if you'd receive the notif even if the post did end up tagging you as usual, idk if admin-nim can make a psa for this so users know they can tag deactivated users and once they return they will do in fact get the tag/notif,

but I think the other point is (for at least non-staff) members if they will ever return at all if they haven't mentioned it they do, so tagging them would kind of be void
