mine used to fight all the time
to a point where i could not eat dinner at the table like a normal child in peace and comfort

so that is one.... oh and parents that almost never tell you that they love you.... been there

neglecting or ignoring children because of grades.

Neglecting and abusing your child whether it's physically or emotionally

wanting your children to be carbon copies of your own self and not accepting who they are. hasn't happened to me, but i know people who forced themselves to be a different kind of person and do other things in life than they wanted just so they wouldn't disappoint their parents.

People rightfully talk a lot about neglectful parents, but overbearing ones are awful too since they prevent their children from really learning how to function properly in society

THIS i can't believe i forgot to mention it. it's absolutely awful when parents ignore their child's both physical and mental health concerns because they think the child is exaggerating when it's just not true and sometimes might now end well. i feel this on a personal level actually, i'm not saying my mom is a bad person/bad parent but i lost count of times when i told her that i feel really unwell and the only reply i got was that it's normal, happens to everyone my age and that it will pass with time. and then the other family member that's near me is a huge hypochondriac who probably thinks i should be dead 5 times by now. it's fun to be me

My dad is amazing but a couple years ago I literally asked to be taken to the E.R because I had a horrible infection on my finger (i still dunno what it is) and my skin literally started pulling apart and he was like "nah its too late" like bro what

this isnt to say my father is a bad parent, i just think a lot of genuinely bad parents do this.
