I'm really sorry you're going through this. Feel free to DM me if you ever need someone to talk to.

I would also like to say that though I am not defending your sister in any way, please keep this in mind:

People with schizophrenia tend to be extremely paranoid. She probably does not trust any of you guys due to her paranoia. You don't know what her hallucinations have made her think of you guys. So please do understand that it is probably not 100% her fault.

Yea I know that but she was doing this before she was diagnosed with schenzophrenia. She was diagnosed with it when she was 16 and this has been going on since she was 14
Thanks for being open that means a lot to me

because she be exposed on international tv?
i can understand your choice
but sounds like she needs it to have her eyes opened if it is that bad as you say it is
I think we have to keep in mind that people with schizophrenia to that extent are quite literally unable to see reality as it is. It's not completely her fault in the slightest. "exposing" her would not do any good, she needs help, not humiliation.

That doesn't really mean much. You can have a mental disorder without being diagnosed. I had a disorder for 7/8 years without being diagnosed with it. It doesn't mean I didn't have it, it just means that I didn't know what was wrong.

Whoa
And I'm not trying to like say you're wrong or anything (cuz you're not you obviously know WAY more than I do) but she uses her illnesses to her benefit. She once said: well they can't put me in juvenile cuz I'm schenzophrenic.
I don't think that that's right and that's why I called her immature. I'm so sorry if I offended you :maheart:

Noo you didn't offend me at all dont worry!

I don't think I know more than you do about this. I think it's just about perspective. It's very common for people to use their mental illnesses to their benefit and it is quite annoying. I do understand it sometimes but it frustrates me so much. It very immature, undoubtedly. Have I used my OCD to avoid going shopping with my dad? Maybe :jenniesmug:

This isn't to invalidate your hardships though. Despite your sister's conditions you are going through a lot right now and no excuse is going to undermine that. I genuinely wish you the best and hope everything turns out well for you and your family.

I’m so sorry to hear that you had to go through all that.
I wish I could give you some advice or words that would make you feel better. One of my brothers had countless problems mentally and he would run out of the house and be lost for hours until he cooled off and came back home. I think the biggest thing you can do is always remind her that you’re always there for her, which I think you do, you seem very strong. Unfortunately since she’s an adult now (correct me if I’m wrong) it’s more difficult to provide her with more options. What helped my brother is that he was put into a really amazing group home that could handle him (he would have violent outbursts and my mom couldn’t restrain him anymore so for others safety she did the group home) he was with other kids who had difficulties similar to him, was given many opportunities through the home and at the end was doing SO well. But I don’t know if there’s anything like that for young adults and I think she would have to be willing to go.
I hope for your, your families and her sake that everything will become better for you all. If you ever need someone to talk to you can always DM me.

Also not to contradict people but don't contact Dr.Phil. He isn't a legit professional you'd just be subjecting your family to more shit if you do that.

Well this brings me flashbacks... Similar stituation But it was with my mother.
Theres not much I can really say... It was a never ending cycle with her... The only way it truly stopped to be honest is because she passed away.
Ive raised my siblings the best I could through it all.
Were now all adults.. But by no means was it easy... I myself succumbed to similar behavior (self harming and suicide), because it was too much at times.
Theres isn't really much I can say tbh... You either just keep pushing on... Or you just stop caring... But at some point there will be a time you realise you do need to look after yourself and follow your own plans, especially if you put your siblings first.. You'll realise that when they're out and living their lives you have nothing for yourself... And that can be another hard battle to face.
