Is it just me or are these the exact same ones i voted from before... has anything changed?

ig everyone liked the same badges ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ when I hold the voting I make I either up to 5, 3 or 1 and for 5 and 3 means that up to 5, 4, 3 or 2 badges will move up to finals depending on how many voted. and in the final, the badge with the most votes becomes the winning badge and if there is a tie there will be a tiebreaker. (hope my explanation made sense)

Why not just make it the 2 most voted ones for each member go to final voting? Or was there just not a situation like this?
I say this cause in my experience most badges have 2-3 badges that have way more votes than the rest so adding the others that may have gotten some votes doesn't make sense imo and having more than 3 badges for final voting makes the vote end up being really divided again instead of actually decisive.

after holding some badge revamps and normal, there have been times where more than two badges have the same vote (especially when there have been lots of suggestions) making it hard to do top 2 and my OCD might also have been part of choosing to go with top 5 and 3, but next time if I hold a badge revamp I will try your method^^ 👍
