It is unfair to bring humans into this world and have them suffer and not be able to experience the true beauties of the world in comfort. So yeah, at some point when you're too old to be able to take in the love from life I believe you should have the choice to 'go' on your own will. And I don't believe those in underdeveloped areas should be allowed to bring children into this world scraping by ...

not enough an issue for policy makers to see it as a serious issue and take action on it right now, or for effective groups to form from what I've seen
since all you see in newspapers and whatnot are stuff about the east asian tigers combating ageing population, nothing about overpopulation anywhere tbh, I can't remember the last time I've read about it in legitimate news sources when I literally just read an article about the changes needed in s. korea's military service model to deal with an ageing demographic today

Japan seems to be facing a pretty big crisis rn, as they have really low birthrates.

India is also severely overpopulated to the point that millions are living in poverty due to it. I'm not only referring to China.

I feel like it's probably a lot deeper than it seems. In India abortions are able to be done, however, it is extremely frowned upon and women are threatened with death as well as their families if a child is lost due to her own decisions. I wonder if this is a similar thing in China

Can bring positive change, but will it? Likely, no. Looking at a realistic standpoint I will take neighborhoods in Cleveland, Ohio for example which is where I grew up. The population goes up every year yet the areas become worse and worse. It doesn't always inflict positive change, and in a lot of cases can make things worse.

I'm brown but I'm not Indian so I can't speak on a personal level.


However, from what I've seen politically...oh boy. They have a horrible poverty problem and we're actually starting to run out of resources. Honestly, not even in foreign countries. Think about fossil fuels and stuff like that. We're running short and I believe we have like 400 years of fossil fuel left on Earth due to so many people using it. I'm aware that there are more solutions to using energy but there are multiple sources we are running out of.

I think it could help in some aspects as some people have tons of kids or kids that end up under an unfit parent/s that just makes them suffer and they end up passing that on. As for how this could be done well if people were limited to having 2 kids it'd do it naturally as a couple has to have 2 kids to replace both of them and if people couldn't have more than 2 then any person who doesn't want kids would decrease the population in theory.
