Why did you lose interest?

I stopped reading the manga for a few months, maybe a year?, then got spoiled. Didn't like what I heard and got turned off from the story.

Im not sure about the characters. Both eren and his opponents(alliance) have regressed in their characters, both groups are on the the extreme side of each coin.

Eren is a psycho(though understansable due to circumstances), and alliance are weak and idealistic (i understand this too).
But it makes for am interesting story overall, though there have been changes in characters motivations etc.

Annnnd the fandom as usual have turned into black and white issue.

I just passed by to say that AOT is starting to traumatize me. Like how can you be sad and angry at the same time, at the same characters?

Same. The alliance members used to be one of my fave characters. Im just dissapointed in how it all turned out for them, in characterization. Its like the author on purposely dumbed down Hange and Armin, so that Eren could do his rumbling.

And Eren is just........ a tragic character overall.

I wouldn't say they're dumbed out is more like things got too fucked for them to handle. They're clearly lost control once Zeke entered the picture and Eren is so powerful now that he's not giving them more options.

I want to get into anime, but I don’t know how to lol. I get bored easily, and it’s difficult for something to hold me interest. Are there any recommendations someone might have?

Yes, It traumatized me but I didn't really care at all.

This article lists the anime genres and examples of shows in each genre. I'd look at this first to get an idea of what you might like.

Also why did we let this thread die

Doctor Stone's second season wasn't as boring as some might it be, it's pretty much same as first season, but I did like more focused story.
