Yes I read haha. wow so much nostalgia looking back at some of these series.

I definitely read the Selection back in middle school, though tbh I don’t even remember that much about it now.

The Lunar Chronicles definitely is one of my favorite series though, I actually love it so much. The characters were all likeable, the world was amazing, and the romance was good too. Honestly top tier, I should definitely reread it someday.

Six of crows I also read about a year ago and I really liked it as well! Nina was my favorite, also Inej. Oh and now it’s apparently getting a Netflix adaptation too.

Red queen ofc I also read it back in middle school though I never got to read the rest of the series so I should probably do so eventually.

Truly Devious I’ve been meaning to read for a while but I haven’t gotten to it yet. Is it any good?

That is actually one of the 23 books I've yet to read-I made it my goal this year to finish series I started and not start any new series yet-so I got a bit of ways to go before I'm able to pick it up sadly. But I've also heard some great things about it.

But also I'm so glad I found another Nina lover I feel like she's so underrated.

She's beyond relatable and she's probably the funniest in my opinion. But yeah highly underrated for me as a character.

Yeah she’s the funniest for sure. I mean the book in general has some good dialogue, including the iconic, “My ghost won’t associate with your ghost,” scene. But yeah Nina is just the best <3

Oh my gosh! I have tried to read like 3 Ellen Hopkins books as a kid and never finished any of them. I enjoyed them but they were really thicc for my age I guess. Maybe I should see if there are any audiobooks.

What's One By One and Seven Ways We Lie about?

YOU CANNOT DO HER BOOKS JUSTICE WITH AUDIOBOOKS

(At least if you do that have a physical copy available because the prose adds to the story)

One By One is an adult thriller book that I believe takes place at a work retreat that happens in a nice little rented out resort but then naturally people start disappearing or dying and you are a character are trying to survive. This is one of the books i have yet to read so that's all I know about it.

The Seven Ways We Lie is basically told from 7 different perspectives of teenagers in school as they deal with a rumor kind of coming out that a student is having an affair with a teacher. And each chapter or perspective kind of has a different reaction to the news, handles it differently and all of them also have their own struggles they are going through and to top it all off each perspective is also meant to represent one of the seven deadly sins. You kind of as the reader get to deduce which is which-which I personally liked also there was some rep I believe for autism and asexuality in this book that I enjoyed. Or maybe it was aromantic not asexual. But yeah I liked it.

I just realized I've never finished Sawkill Girls so this is actually 24-I've started that book twice and had to put it down both times.

Everyone says they get embarrassed for loving the Selection but I HOLD NO SHAME. I can't wait for it to be adapted into a series of movies.

I wish I could relate to you! My classmate highly recommended the series and I bought the whole box set, literally paid to torture myself

Youve got a bunch of fantasy with black covers it’d fit into the vibe perfectly . Also the books are just really good I can’t imagine anyone not loving it

I use The Selection as a break from my heavier stories (which is most of my shelf tbh) it's a nice breather and break from more complex worlds and all the darkness that comes with some of them. So I re-read it when I'm feeling like I need something easier to grasp onto and less daunting or upsetting even though it does of course have its moments.

I know that critically it isn't a great book or series but I sometimes just need a break from the other things. Also, I'm a simp for Prince Maxon.

Oh goodness, I'm glad you loved the Darkling enough to finish that series but I could not-I DNF'd in the second book because I COULD NOT DEAL WITH IT.

Though I am also pumped for the Netflix series. (I mean to be fair in the second book we follow Alina and ugh I was not a fan)
