What are some assumptions people have made about you that either upset you or annoyed you.

This is the one that really sticks out for me: When I was in my junior year of undergrad as we were preparing for our senior thesis, we had to pick a topic we were passionate about. Mine happened to be HIV/AIDS... One of my classmates said something like, "You're gay right. That's why you picked that topic." That was really annoying.

It has been, in the past, assumed that HIV/AIDS is a gay disease, because they were disproportionately impacted by it in the 80s and 90s and still are today to a certain extent.

It is what it is. Although, that wasn't the weirdest part.. She also wanted advice for her friends son. She thought that since I was gay I could offer advice to her friend about her gay son. Very bizarre..

well people do judge a lot based on first impressions, and for someone who looks like they're constantly judging everything around them that can be a bit of a downside, but for the most part, while i'm sure people do make assumptions about me, they aren't either ballsy enough or rude enough to say them to my face.
