Do you include manga?According to goodreads it's 45 books!
Yes, but I only began reading Manga last year really.Do you include manga?
I'll give you some of the ones that I didn't mention I have the third book in the Ember in the Ashes series written by Sabaa Tahir. I really loved the first book but after that the series went really downhill for me and the characters were utterly destroyed but it's about two separate groups of people where one has been enslaved by the other.I'm kinda curious about books you hate but everyone loves![]()
lmao I also didn't like catcher in the rye tbh. i know it's a classic, but it just wasn't for me.I'll give you some of the ones that I didn't mention I have the third book in the Ember in the Ashes series written by Sabaa Tahir. I also have The Catcher in the Rye-I assume most know about this book but I just really couldn't deal with it.
I have Snow LIke Ashes by Sara Raasch which is about different kingdoms that are about seasons and Winter is basically ruined and trying to build itself back up and we follow a girl who is close to the only remaining heir to the Winter throne as they try to reclaim their land and rebuild themselves. It has one of the worst love triangles I have ever read about and it's just so cliched with absolutely NO originality and there were so many instances of convenience that did NOT make sense at all.
Yeah, I love An Ember in the Ashes but I view it now as a standalone and not part of a series.lmao I also didn't like catcher in the rye tbh. i know it's a classic, but it just wasn't for me.
An Ember In The Ashes I've definitely heard of but haven't really gotten to read it yet, but I think I saw the author in this panel at a bookcon I went to about a year and a half ago.
I actually haven't heard of the last one but it doesn't sound good from your description. I'm not a huge fan of love triangles (they won't ruin a book for me, and they can be executed well. i just prefer it when there aren't any).
yeah i know what you mean. sometimes you just gotta ignore the other books of a series because they were so much worse than the first and don't live up to expectations (looking at you, The Maze Runner)Yeah, I love An Ember in the Ashes but I view it now as a standalone and not part of a series.
Snow Like Ashes was so beyond bad omfg.
Thankfully I've never grabbed the Maze Runner so I don't have to deal with thatyeah i know what you mean. sometimes you just gotta ignore the other books of a series because they were so much worse than the first and don't live up to expectations (looking at you, The Maze Runner)![]()
idk I liked the first book because it had an interesting concept, and I was excited to see where it would lead to, but book 2 was just filler, and book 3 made no sense at all.Thankfully I've never grabbed the Maze Runner so I don't have to deal with that
The highlight of those books you hate is ALWAYS reading the angry reviews that you resonate with!idk I liked the first book because it had an interesting concept, and I was excited to see where it would lead to, but book 2 was just filler, and book 3 made no sense at all.
I have to admit though, reading all the two star reviews for those books is actually hilarious, so I definitely enjoyed that (more then I did reading it anyway lol)![]()
For sure, that's always fun!~ But then on the opposite side, I just hate to read bad reviews of books I really like. The highlight of those books you hate is ALWAYS reading the angry reviews that you resonate with!

Catcher in The Rye so it's a classic...I legit have no clue what the plot is and that is how forgettable it is. I just know it has a main character that calls everyone a phony and I mean EVERYONE. I just seriously loathed the main character and the writing in general. It felt so forced with the way it was written-like it was trying to be relatable to teenagers but secretly profound.Books I hate #11
Genre, plot, and why do you hate it
I never read it but I can't really get into most classics lolCatcher in The Rye so it's a classic...I legit have no clue what the plot is and that is how forgettable it is.
