During a live Q&A press conference ahead of the album’s release, Wendy explained the thought process behind releasing two title tracks: “When This Rain Stops” and “Like Water.”

“They both tell my own personal story and each track has its own sound and charm,” she said.

“‘When This Rain Stops’ is a ballad track featuring a piano performance and just my vocals... I chose this as the title track because I wanted to share the reassurance that I received and to show my gratitude to everyone. I hope that this will be a comforting track that soothes your mind and makes the rain stop,” she explained.

She also discussed “Like Water,” describing it as “a refreshing, pure acoustic pop ballad track.”

“Just like a person can’t live without water, it has the message of how two people need and fill each other like water does.”
