News CL and Boms representatives deny that 2NE1 is preparing for a comeback (1 Viewer)

In response to reports of a 2NE1 comeback in May, CL’s representative stated to Hankook Ilbo, “It is not true that 2NE1 recorded a song as a full group.” The source explained, “For Minzy’s birthday in January, the 2NE1 members gathered at CL’s recording studio, and it seems like that is how the misunderstanding arose. There are no specific plans at all regarding preparations for a full-group reunion and song release.” They then asked fans to look forward to CL’s upcoming solo album.

A source from Park Bom’s agency D-NATION Entertainment also commented to the news outlet, “Nothing has been decided in regards to a reunion. The recording did not take place.”

Yeah I do think there's something going on but whether this particular instance is for a comeback or maybe songs for one of their solo albums we'll have to wait and see.

Apparently there was a mistranslation/ misunderstanding of Bom's interview. She did say they were together at the studio but apparently there wasn't a recording. The thing is that "an insider", stated that the girls have a comeback prepared for May, which is not true.

I believe they did recorded something but Bom spilled the beans and things got out of hand when this insider decided to give further details. We need to remember that as much as we want it, they have their own careers as solo and of course, the girls will give priority to it + YGE owns the 2NE1 name and we don't know if Dara will be allowed to promote with them.
